Just added a 50" 4k TV w/ Apple TV to the office so here's another look at my setup.

You mean you want to get one that is 7 years old technology or want Apple to release a new one?

I meant that I want Apple to release a new one. No way would I pay $999 or $799 (refurb) for that brick of a monitor with USB 2, no antiglare, no USB-C, and outdated screen tech.

Understood. I just don't understand why they don't drop the price to make it s good buy again.
For 399 I'm sure they would sell a bucket load. Their costs must have come down significantly.
If they do release a new one, I'd be suprised if they offered a Matt screen version.
That's why I use an NEC Spectraview next to my iMac. The screen uniformity and wide colour gamut are beautiful (as well as a Matt screen), but the body of the thing is pretty ugly!

As it doesn't seem quite fair to only show pretty versions of our setups, how about when it's actively in use? Here's mine earlier today, in the depths of lesson planning for next year (teachers do actually work over the summer, we just don't get paid for it :p )

Lol you suggesting our desks aren't always this clean and tidy and they might be staged photos?

If you like it dirty, check out this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...nment-messy-desk.663499/page-45#post-21032446
