Nice .. what 4k monitors are you using ?

They are ASUS PQ321. They are discontinued now, but originally were the exact same as the SHARP 4k model sold in Apple Stores. The frame and most importantly, the screen were the same. To be honest I don't know why SHARP sold them so expensively (or why ASUS sold them at a third of the price, depending on perspective). But I am happy with them.

Please excuse the crappy iPhone photo, I was never much for pictures.

Since the last update, I've switched my monitors to a triple monitor stand, and cleared off the right side of my L Desk for more "hands on" projects. Laptop disassembly, most recently, and probably a desktop case swap this weekend... Out of the picture is my spare desk, moved the TV and Wii over there. Booted into Windows currently as I attempt to do the Anniversary Update, but dreading the "remove everything but the Windows drive" portion...

Excuse the cables too... I want to tidy them up, but I'm hoping to move in 6 months and I can't convince myself it's worth the hassle when I'll just have to redo it in January.

Yeah, there's actually 3, the antique one pictured is a 1927 Sonata Acoustic (was my Great Grandfather's). Unpictured is my Martin Custom Series Acoustic and an Ibanez bass. Off in the corner out of vision is a 3/4 Yamaha Jr. but I'm not sure that one counts. ;)

Cool, thanks for filling me in.

replaced my Cinema Display 27 with a Dell U2515H

Nice, simple and clean.

How do you like that monitor? I'm thinking of getting the 27" version. I was debating between a 5K iMac but considering the price I guess it makes more sense to just go with an external monitor.
[doublepost=1470713203][/doublepost]Also, unrelated, but can anyone recommend me a comfortable, ergonomic, and relatively affordable desk chair?

I had both the Herman Miller Aeron and Embody at one point but ended up returning them because they were so uncomfortable. The Aeron was terrible. It was like sitting in a hammock. There was no support in the seat whatsoever. As someone who is pretty thin, all I could feel while sitting in the chair was my pelvic bone against the mesh. The embody was better but the amount of support in the seat was still pretty thin. What ended up being the deal breaker though was that the firmness of the lumbar support was not adjustable. It felt like something was constantly jabbing me in the middle of my back. I played with all the settings, followed the instructions, contacted customer support, and gave each chair a good chance but they just did not work for me. Now I am very reluctant to spend that kind of money on a chair but it's still kind of a guessing game as there are no quality chair stores in my area.

I have very few photos of my past setups. The nicest thing about my last setup was probably the view from my desk:

Not pictured there (sorry), I used a MacBookPro5,2 with an Apple Cinema Display and mobile hard disk drives.

The most distinctive part of the setup was in software, not hardware. For posterity:

When I get my hands on a proper photo of my setup, I'll add it to this post.

Nice view.

Not so nice when planned refurbishment allowed a girder-size hole in the roof to be created, and left open to the elements, when heavy rain was forecast. But that's a tale for another day and another topic :) now I wonder whether I can find any proper photo of my past setups …

On The Interweb Thingy!
Been a while since I posted my setup. In the mean time I've had two kids and been relegated to the hallway. Few things still to do, like cable management and hanging up some shelves...but it's getting there.

Gotta paint that doorframe too! ;)
