This is my setup so far, I only moved in last week.

- 1yr old 17" MBP
- Wireless mighty mouse
- iPhone dock and box
- Leads and charger

Taken on 3 day old iPhone.

*shakes fist in air*

Look at you, Mister Hi-Res Fancy Pants.

Is that 1680x1050 or 1920x1200? They should give the 15.4 at least the option. So envious of high res "on the go".

Unfortunately no. There is only one set of virtual desktops for both monitors. You can't have independent spaces per monitor. I've submitted the idea via Leopard feedback thingy a month or so ago but I didn't get a reply. If you guys like the idea of it you guys should drop them a line too. Maybe with more requests they'll actually look into it.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info, that's what I was looking for.

But being able to have VM Ware running XP on one monitor and my OS X environment on the other but existing within the same space is good enough for me.

I appreciate the assistance...thank you.

I wish every Mac had the choice to upgrade to a higher resolution.
The MacBook/MacBook Air with 1440x900
The 15" MacBook Pro with 1680x1050
The 17" MacBook Pro with 1920x1200

I guess a lot of people would be happy with that :)

Well a MacBook with a 1920x1200 13" screen would be something; of course only if apple and software developers start to make everything resolution independant.

just imagine how crisp everything would look.

You can effectively get what you want though by locking VMware to all spaces. In the Spaces preference pane you can specify that certain applications will appear on only one Space or always be visible on all Spaces. If you do that, and then full-screen VMware on your second monitor, it will always be shown on the second monitor no matter what space you're on.

Actually, having read quite a few threads over the months on this subject it appears people STILL wouldn't be happy with those options. For example there's quite a few people who want the 1920x1200 option on the 15" MBP, in fact you can buy laptops from other manufacturers such as Dell who offer it. Personally I don't think my eyes would be able to cope but then everyone's eyes are different.

The 1680x1050 option on the 15" though Apple should have offered a long time ago; after all it's a lower DPI than the Hi-Res 17". All that remains is for Apple to announce 2560x1600 on the upcoming 17" MBP revision then everyone will be happy ... or even better a 20" MBP ... :D

Glad to see you've updated your setup to the 2 Denon's now instead of 1 from early last year.

Thought I'd share my setup at school. I just got the Elevator and the keyboard and the combination has really helped alleviate my neck pain while working at the computer for long periods of time. I was also pleasantly surprised by the feel of the keyboard. Very comfortable to type on and has a quality feel.

2.2GHz MacBook Pro
LaCie 250GB external HD
Apple keyboard
Logitech V450 mouse
Griffin Elevator
JBL Creature IIs
8GB iPod Nano
HP C3180 printer

Canon 1D
Panasonic Lumix TZ3

my setup :)

So, I'm hoping that this picture will be *very* temporary... hehe... I've waited until this year's MacWorld to see if they would release an ultraportable, but I've decided that the MacBook Air isn't for me... so I've decided to get the 2.8ghz 24" iMac... right after I get my tax return, however ;)

In any case, here's my current setup... I also have a drawer underneath the desk that has two 500gb drives and the usb cables for ipods and my DSLR :)

So, when I get the iMac, the cinema display, isight and older iMac are being shipped off to the office ;) and I'm hoping to get a 1TB Time Capsule... the desk will have SO MUCH MORE ROOM! yay! hehe :)

Been meaning to post mine for a while:

It took a year to save up for, but is worth every penny!

Here's my set up, it's not finished. I want a new mouse, Mybook Studio and a Griffin Elevator.

[stuff]

Yummy setups.:p

Thanks dude. Can't believe someone remembers this stuff...hahah. I always had two denons though :) One was just cut out from the pic last year. The actual update is the new mac pro 2.8/8 core :D Wouldn't mind spinning with them if I ever see that part of the world. I actually have relos there.

What do you use for color correction? Not software, I take it you use Color (seeing as though you have FCS2). But your hardware. The canvas window doesn't have accurate color reproduction, so you need (or should have anyway) an external display / monitor of sorts.

Click for large.

There's a PowerBook knocking around somewhere and a 20" iMac G5 in the bedroom for movies too :)

Would like to get a bigger monitor for the MP one day, hankering after a Dell 30"...one day.
