How many headphone amps are in that shot?

I see the one in the Altoids can.

They look like Grado earphones, and Audioengine A2B speakers. Not sure about the amp though.

Do I spy a Roland Juno-G in the bottom right?

Edit: Love the Shuffle clipped to the curtain!

Why not? It's an extremely good OS which has a lot more available software than OS X and which also has an excellent media center application. It is also compatible with DRM'd WMVs.

I don't have anything against it, but if one were to use Windows as their primary, wouldn't a PC be better suited and extremely cheaper? Furthermore, I hardly consider Vista as "extremely good", good yes, but extremely, not yet. Theres a few kinks that still need to be worked out, and knowing microsoft, those won't happen until SP2+

You kinda smoked her on the performance end but I think she's gotcha on classic-style and form-factor.

She definitely has me on form-factor, so to speak...

The mini and PowerBook were mine before I upgraded. Her desk is in the house proper. My office is a converted backporch/sunroom so she gets the style and I get functionality.

I miss the PB, by the way.

I figured that was your older equipment. She could probably get the sunroom too if she wanted it;).

Hopes she's not bitter about hand-me-downs ;)

You: "Honey, I just bought a new laptop..."

Her: "What?!?"

You: "...and Mac Pro..."

Her: "What what?!?!"

You: "...but you can have my old ones...?"

Her: "Alrighty sweetie, whatchya want for supper?"

She's not bitter. Her previous computer was a Sony desktop.

That's exactly how the conversation went, by the way.

In front of my MacBook Pro
Alright, here we go. First off is my main machine, my quad 2.8 Mac Pro. Not much to show in ways of a screen until my 23" ACD gets here.

Secondly, my main laptop, the last model of 12" PowerBook.
IMG_1857.jpg

Third, my Power Mac G4 MDD, last generation, 1.25 Ghz single. (currently used by my mother)
IMG_1870.jpg

Then we come to the retired collection, the PowerBook and iMac G3, both at 233 MHz.
IMG_1859_2.jpg

The iMac is one of the original Bondi ones. It hasn't seen a single hardware upgrade in almost 10 years, but is running fine on OS 9.2.
IMG_1850.jpg

The PowerBook G3 is also running well on OS 9.2, it as well is around a good 10 years old this year.
