Here are a couple pre and post shots of mine. Spent 4 hours doing some cable management, putting in a new shelf on the desk and cleaning.

Heres the pre clean shot. Dual monitors, 22 and 19, 19 turned vertical.

Here is what I am using, a homebuilt 8800 gt, 4800+ 4 gb ram. First computer ever built, not hard at all! Also a powermac dual 450, 1.25 GB ram. Have another powermac and cube not pictured, including a macbook.

Finally the post cleaned version. All cords are hidden as best as I could. Want to put some tubing down from the top shelf so the wires are 100% hidden. Powermac hooked up to single 22, windows machine to both.

Wanting a new mac, but it will probably be a macbook pro to replace the macbook.

Any ideas for what I need? Working crazy overtime and did well on the GRE, looking to reward myself.

Wow, I never knew Ikea had a $1 sale. Any idea when the next one of those would be? Also, you have some nice stuff for being 12.

100% in two days?! That's disgusting. Did you just play nonstop? I have 40 hours of play on the game and I've had it since launch, and while I've finished the story I'm only at about 65% completion!

I just got my s530 set today. Is the keyboard battery indicator light supposed to stay off? Mine isn't lit at all. Thanks.

Yes it stays off until it needs some batteries. Same with the mouse. Would be a waste of energy otherwise.

Yeah in two days. Had nothing to do at all. Plus we had a really bad rain storm outside and I was on my rest day from Cycling training (had a race the next day) so yeah, I blew my days on GTA!

Do you podcast or make music?

Both! The iMac is great for skype, iTunes and safari, and the MacBook handles Logic Studio surprisingly well. I know its only a baby set up, but take those Genelecs and Alesis Interface, add in a mac pro and a bit of talent and its not the worst home studio ever :)

powerbook still has a smaller footprint and overall compactness, it just isn't as thin.

Pretty sure the Air is smaller by volume. The PB has a smaller footprint, but the Air is the smaller and more portable computer.

PLUS it has a superdrive, TWO USB ports, a FW port, DVI, and ethernet. Too many sacrifices for portability in the Air IMO.

that's neither here nor there. I was responding to a comment that the 12" PB is still apple's smallest portable.

Wow nice monitors there. Looks like you could use some speaker stands for those guys though.

Hows that Alesis Firewire interface working for you? Looking at one of those.

Wolfgang

Yeah i really need something to put the Genelecs on, at the moment I'm using two iPhone boxes :)

The interface is great, would highly recommend it, just remember if you do get it to get the latest drivers from alesis.com, because the ones included in the box don't work with leopard.

What do think of Torq? would you recommend it?

This is a few months old, perhaps I'll post an update soon. I don't have the second 23" anymore.
