actually, now they make this really cool laptop that's only 60% the weight of the 12" PB... perhaps you've heard of it...

powerbook still has a smaller footprint and overall compactness, it just isn't as thin. PLUS it has a superdrive, TWO USB ports, a FW port, DVI, and ethernet. Too many sacrifices for portability in the Air IMO.

And for those of you with low RAM issues, iFreeMem is a great utility for reclaiming some usage and making a machine with very little ram useable.

There's actually three clocks above the monitors. Where you see the temperature, there's another clock above that.

Anyone else have lots of clocks around their computer setups?

Is that thing to the right of the white face/red numbers clock the thermometer?

I have a few clocks as well. There's one on my indoor/outdoor weather station, a commemorative clock given away by a local jeweler to celebrate the minor league championship the local hockey team won a few years ago, etc.

Sweet setup, love the simplicity of it. Where did you manage to pull off a 23" ACD for $375? Was it used?

That is an amazing price, congrats, you have a great friend for offering it for that price, he easily could have offered it for $500+ if it is in new condition.

Well turns out my friend didn't know what he was talking about as its a 20" not a 23" so I talked him down to $200 cash im not too happy though the difference between the two is highly noticeable and irritant

you could easily sell that and make twice what you paid for it, assuming it's in good shape

anyone have experience with the Jonas with the drawer and door like this? I love the jonas but dont really have space for the pullout thing, AND I need storage space.
43773_PE139568_S4.jpg

i have that desk and don't expect to fit a tower in the storage compartments and there are no hole in the back of the storage section for wires so if you wanted that you would have to drill it your self and the back is like .5 inches thick wood. it is one of the most sturdy desks i have ever used, its a very strong desk its just not he biggest i have a acer laptop on it and a 22" scree and i only have like a foot on each side for other stuff but it is pretty deep it would fit a imac great. also the cabinet can be taken off and put on the opposite side if needed. i got mine for $100 in the as is section of ikea and its great that is my opinion/ i have 2 glass sheets on top of mine and i like it that way.

Where did you get the glass? I already bought the desk and yeah, there is definitely not enough space for a full sized tower in the cabinet nor holes in the back. I actually found a cardboard box that fit perfectly in there and used it as sort of a makeshift drawer (I didn't want an actual drawer though).
