no offense to all you 3rd gen ipod lovers... but are ya blind? It's by far the ugliest ipod ever made (not to mention the least functional)!

Completely agree. My favorite stylistically was the 5.5G 80GB I had. That thing was a beauty... I want one again, but the ones on eBay are all banged up

Speaking of speakers, anyone know of a way to get the audio from my MBP and windows box coming through the single set of speakers at the same time?

The only way I know of is very cumbersome and you lose a bit of audio quality: a headphone splitter, one female-to-female, two male-to-males.

my only question is how sturdy is it? i don't plan on putting extremely large amount of weight on it but sturdiness is still a factor since there is a lot of room.

as of now i would just have an xbox 360, 19" (i think it's 19 inches..) HP monitor, speakers, iHome, wireless keyboard/mouse. and in the near future an HDTV around 30", i don't know if it would replace the HP monitor, or if i would use both, depends on how much room.

oh, i would have a couple little things but they barely take up room so i just put them behind the monitor, so no need to mention them. but i would like to have a little space to leave my Touch hooked up and not in the way, but still visible.

yeah it will easilly take that load. but if you can i would try to put the heavier items on the drawer unit side just because it seems sturdier

3.5mm coupler + 2 female to 1 male headphone splitter.

About 10 or so at your local Radioshack. Works fine, you lose a smidge of quality, but its not that noticeable.

if you dont mind me asking... did you like my setup?

i don't mind at all. i do like your setup, it's very simple in the pictures you posted (you mentioned you had your TV on it). everything is organized, the TV stand and the desk.

i realllly want to get a macbook but their too damn expensive, i'm stuck with a PC and i have so many chords and accessories for it. i (in my opinion) have OCD towards desk setups and everything and mine drives me insane. i want a bigger desk and reorganize my chords.

congrats! i'm a junior in high school, and i figure if i save up money from christmas (from aunts/uncles etc) and my birthday (long shot..it's in june) i could have a shot at a macbook.

my parents keep telling me i should just wait because i'll get one for "free" because it will be included in college tuition, but that doesn't apply to every college i'm looking at.

post a picture of your imac when you set it up :D.

haha lucky you. i also pay for my things, i've spent well over two thousand on myself, i know it makes me sound selfish but it's not like i'm supporting anyone but myself, i live with my parents. but i get my license this month so i might look for a job, work a few hours a week to take in some extra money.

Don't worry about 2g when you are studying mate. Enjoy yourself! When you finish and get a real job, it will be less than a months salary :)
