Don't worry about 2g when you are studying mate. Enjoy yourself! When you finish and get a real job, it will be less than a months salary :)

haha true. i plan on studying something government/law related, but i'm not completely sure on what i'll specifically major in. i really want to become a lawyer, so if all goes well two thousand won't be too hard to make when i'm older.

i'm a junior, and have all the stuff in my sig plus a ps3 i paid for from working in a kitchen 40 hours a week all summer.
woo!
i still need my license..

i'm not lazy or anything but i have no motivation to go get a job because i know it will most likely be crummy hours for minimum wage because of my age. i'm gonna have to get one within six months though :( ahhh

btwwww if you ask me being a junior is one of the hardest times of the teenage life because you begin to look at college, try to get a license and eventually your own car, get a job, and manage good grades..meanwhile being social. agree/disagree?

what's with the green light on the time capsule?

where did you find that desk? It looks like it's got some great functionality. How do you like it so far?

It's a lovely desk, it really is. I quite like being able to see the Mini through the glass. It's a good looking desk although my only troubles with it is the fugly mouse mat and the fact that 10 minutes after cleaning it there are grubby marks EVERYWHERE.

If you get this desk, you will end up cleaning it every five minutes :p

I really like the look. How hard is it to reach in there and insert/remove CDs/DVDs?

Easy, and I don't have very long arms! I just got my Mighty Mouse and Aluminium Keyboard, plus my Bellkin underside hub is at the sorting office so I might post one or two more pictures.

Assuming that you're willing to dump all of that into one thing. Nevermind those little things like rent, insurance, food, utilities, etc...

Haha. Yeah. I don't know anyone who would spend "a bit less than a month's salary" on a computer.

Being ill in bed at the weekend resulted in buying three new toys for my setup :p Damn finding bargains on eBay and the ease of PayPal!

$2,000 month = $24,000 a year = a lot less than most jobs pay

not to mention that a computer is an investment that you'll keep for years (or, at least, you can). So while you don't want to go beyond your budget, $2k is really not that much for something that you'll use daily for the next 2, 3, 5 (or whatever) years.

Please don't call a computer an investment. Ever. Bout the only thing I can think of that might be worse than a car. ;)

I imagine if you're making $24,000 a year you shouldn't be spending $2000 on a computer. Regardless of how large your salary is, you shouldn't be spending almost a twelfth of it on a piece of electronic/computer-ware! I know I wouldn't. Of course, I don't have a stable income. But once I have one, once I'm self-sustaining, I won't be making those sorts of purchases because my money will go much further elsewhere.

agreed and if you're only making that much then i doubt you'll need a computer for any work related things.

ok then...i thought it looked like a new macbook/pro. so i was worried about the weight of the monitor cracking the glass screen,or even putting pressure on the lcd creating dead pixels or bubbles. But you have the weight on a stand under the monitor so your good.
