I like the design of the matte MBP 17". I don't know why people think it looks strange, the Titanium was similar and looked great too.

Here are some new shots of my setup.
That's just a rack for my MOTU 828mkII audio interface, Behringer ADA8000, and Alesis equalizer. I've got an M-Audio Firewire Audiophile audio interface there too that's not being used. I'm going to use it in my garage Powermac setup (pics to come once I get the 17" LCD studio display working again). Also, yeah it should probably be able to fit a 1U server

Thanks! I accidentally spilled some water on the white pro keyboard that came with this powermac, causing the left control key to stop working, so I bought a black one off my friend, and switched the keys up. I did the same thing to the damaged one

If I were you I'd see if I could clean up some of the clutter on the right side of the desk, and get rid of the white drawer unit.

the white drawer unit is where much of my computer wires/stuff is. before buying it, it was littered all over the desk. i'm hoping to revamp my desk setup to clean it up some more when i get a new desk in the near future.
part of the reason the right side of the desk looks cluttered is because i use it also as a writing table for notes, etc, and also because the desk is very wide, and when i bought it, i needed it to be wide to fit the needs of a pc and study table.
thanks for your suggestions though.
I wish the current White MacBook was black. I would get a unibody if it had FireWire but it does not and I want the 9400m so a last model refurb is not an option I wonder if it would be possible to swap the logic boards between the old black and the new white.
