I have the same desk but also with the glass top. And I have to say you just gave me a new weekend project for all my wires.

Thought I'd update my setup pics.

I'm currently between setups as I'm moving my office. I'm still working on the new one so for the time being I've got the new desk in the old office.

The plan for the new office is for their to be no cables on show at all if I can help it, you can see from the behind shot of the cable basket behind the desk.

The laptop is the 2.4ghz macbook, the screen is a 20in acd on a humanscale vesa mount. The thing on the left of the desk is my bt phone, and the iphone is a 3g one.
Tucked under the desk is all the power bricks etc along with a freecom 500gb xss drive which is very small and quiet.

Where can you find these desk-mountable power outlets?

It's a standard surge protected unit. They nearly all have mounting points for walls. You just drill two holes and put a screw in nearly all the way in then put it in place.

as far as i know.. most power strips have mounting holes on the backside for screws

Correct. :)

Makes a big difference to me I can't stand cables being under my feet or on show. It's a shame apple don't do a proper wireless keyboard with numpad as I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

After looking at some of the pictures on this thread I really want a bigger desk! Mine's small, but that's all the space I have in my townhouse right now.

Im curious...is the flowers on that shelf? Cause if they are, why not remove them? From the pic, that shelve looks like a perfect size for the MB. Just a thought.

My wireless router, speakers and modem are behind on that little shelf as well. I rarely use my MB at home now (I use it at school and work) that I have the iMac, just had it sitting there for the picture, and sometimes I'll put it up there just for the music as I don't have much music on the iMac quite yet.

Love the desk and mount, do you happen to have the brand and model of both? I need a new desktop next year, so I'm looking.

I knew I was going to get that comment. Thanks mom for using my laptop and getting it all dirty :D

Haha when I first got my MBP everybody was like "OOO look its so shiny, i just wanna put my fingers on the screen to feel how shiny it is." This was especially bad at family get togethers when I would share my pictures with everyone. So I finally just started making an announcement at the beginning of our reunion that the screen is for looking, and the keyboard is for touching! hahaha

Totally! off my balcony and out my window, I get to stare at the siding up close of more apartments 40' away. You can't even call it a bad view, it's just no view whatsoever.

Wow, I would just love to have an "all in one" desk with the power cable and phone line going to the wall. Put some wheels on the desk and just wheel it out on the balcony when it's nice out. That would be way awesome!
