Maybe one of those wall/desk mounts that can rotate 90 degrees?

For the physical rotation it is just a VESA 100 x 100 pattern on the bracket (you have to purchase from apple separately). Since the pattern is square you just mount it 90 degrees to the left or right. (Sorry for the blurry, just stuck my iPhone behind the screen and hoped for the best).

In terms of software, OS X supports monitor rotation for external monitors out of the box.

I posted my office desk back on page 43 (click here), here is my office at home.

The desk on the right is mine and the one on the left is my wife's. TV is connected to the iMac so I can put online content on it. I've been meaning to get another satellite receiver but Hulu/Boxee has been doing pretty good so far. I know the cable track on the wall is ugly but we didn't want to put any furniture in that spot and it is quite the task running cable horizontally through the vertical studs.

The iMac is mainly used for downloading, serving up music to the apple tvs and airport expresses throughout the house, and a quick place to check something when my wife and I's laptops are in our briefcases. My laptop is setup with teleport (a mac front-end/port of synergy) so the iMac keyboard/mouse control it.

what make you choose the companion 5's over the 3's? trying to decide myself now

The companion 5's sound better, but the 3's are certainly still at the top of the market. To be totally honest, a big reason was because the companion 5 speakers were USB. When I originally bought them they were for my laptop (when at my desk) and having them USB means I only have to plug in 2 cables (usb hub and power) instead of three. I actually have a bose 3-2-1 system in that room but I use the companion 5 speakers for watching TV/movies because they sound better than then 3-2-1.

Are Companion 5s USB only? No 3.5mm?

I would love to have that clock in my studio....but being that it is a recording studio I cannot have a clock that makes any noise whatsoever. My question to you is does it make any noise (flipping or clicking sounds)?

Theres a constant running noise because the gears are always slowly moving, and when the minute flips it makes a click sound.

heres how it sounds

Nice of you to supply us a link, thanks. :)

Think I may buy myself one of these.

they are nice... love the little click sound it makes. if you get one from littleclockshop.com (and it seems the ones they have are the same on other sites and ebay), careful the first time your adjusting the correct time, i spun it too fast and almost broke one of the little plastic arms that holds the number in place.

they arent made of the best plastic and metal, but does the job nicely!

what i'd really like to find is a vintage one from like a train station... even if it didnt work, it would be correct twice a day :D
