MacBook Slo, meet MacBook Pro.

Just got the 13". The "MacBook Slo" is a crappy Toshiba that does run OSX, just not very well. I also thought the clock difference was slightly ironic

The glass screen and LED make a HUGE difference in contrast and black levels. Holy cow!

Haha that they do, keep in mind this was taken with my iPhone 3G (had to sell my dslr to get the mbp). But yeah there's definitely a quite noticeable difference.

In front of my MacBook Pro
Here's how things are looking these days. From left to right: HP Mini 110 Mi (running Ubuntu netbook remix, 1.66 GHz, 2 GB, 64 GB SSD), 1 TB external HD, cheap Altec Lansing speakers, 20" Acer display, bluetooth mouse and keyboard, iPhone 3G S, AirPort Extreme, MacBook, EyeTV, and a lamp.

Done some sorting out, as the desk is pretty small, I've moved my drawers next to it so I have some more 'desk' space.

No to seem dumb, but what is the monitor connected to? and that thing at the bottom is it a storage thing or a mini?

What are you running in your rack space?

From the top:
1.) Furman Power Conditioner
2.) PreSonus Central Station (remote is on the desk)
3.) Digidesign Digi002 Audio Interface
4.) Focusrite OctoPre 8-channel microphone preamp w/ digital outs
5.) XLR Patchbay - so I don't have to reach behind the rack to access the inputs.

I've since moved the Focusrite to the bottom slot and added a Samson Cue8 8-channel headphone amplifier and ditched the XLR patchbay.

That's an API 6-space lunchbox with 2 Great River and 2 API 512c mic preamps on top of the rack.

I have the same monitor.

Does yours hum when the brightness is below 80?

I have this same monitor too. I don't have any humming when set below 80%. I usually run it at 95% though.

I have to say, for the price (I paid $245 CDN including taxes) I love this monitor. I was coming from a nice 22" samsung that the lamp died out in and needed a monitor. I didn't have a lot of cash but also did not want to spend money on a smaller monitor.

I did have to exchange the first one I bought; it had a stuck red pixel in the center which didn't go away during the week I had it. No problems so far with my new one, and I noticed that the touch controls are way more responsive on my new one as well. That wasn't a complaint for the old one but I will take the improvement in the new one :)

The monitor is connected to this, it's a monstrosity so I've hidden it in the wardrobe.

It's a Dell SC440 running OSX.

The thing at the bottom is a 500GB Iomega storage/usb and firewire hub. I originally bought it for my G4 Mini, but that stopped working so I'm just using it for USB ports for the PC.
