Well I've finally pulled my finger out and taken some shots of my new office.
REALLY sharp setup, looks great. I'm sure all the hard work was 100% worth it. Beautiful.

I reallly like the setup! Red containers/folders in the cabinet make for a nice pop... not sure that client pc testing area looks too comfy. haha, might be nice to have a tiny simple desk of the same finish as your existing furniture.
Other the desk setup looks sweet.
Hmm I'm coming to live with you I really like it. Btw if you want to have even less wires; maybe you could get a little drawer unit like this which you could tuck under your desk and put the Mac on? Just an idea

Thanks, it was many hours of work redecorating etc. Unfortunately our house is one of those that makes you dread pulling up floor boards. Even in this tiny room there were some shocking things we found under the boards and in the walls. Made it take twice as long to do.
What did you find? I'm now interested and want to know!
Nice, where can I geht the wallpaper ?
Just set the background color to blue?
My new setup. Just recently added the Dell 2209WA, replacing an old Acer 22"; the Logitech Z4s, replacing X-540s; and the 13" uMBP, replacing a 13" Blackbook! Next is to get a new processor and video card!
Not shown: 640GB WD MyBook, Wacom Bamboo.
On the Dell, is that vista?Because i don't see any cable on the macbook and the bar on the top looks like it has the vista icon...
If it is vista, how did you use to put it that way? It looks really good and different.
It's Windows 7.
That is like my dream setup. Damn, I wish I had ya'll 9-5 jobs.First off, my apartment is far from finished, but it's getting somewhere. However, I'm very pleased with it and it's cosy
I did my best to shoot some decent pictures but not only do I have some cheap ass Exilim point and shoot digicam, also my photoshootingskills are ehhh nonexistent. Sorry 'bout that. It really does look a lot better in real
The last picture is of my Pax wardrobe I hacked a dioder in the top shelf. (I just had to)

I don't think having a 9-5 job guarantees you anything.

It guarantees you-- a paycheck?
Haha, I tried. ><

Rooms only as nice as you make it. I'm all for simplicity, but what I've been looking into is lighting and dfy nailed it. I looked up that Block Lamp someone had in this setup and that things $120 .Sorry, I thought he meant that he had a job, but not a full-time, officework job.
For me, having a full-time job doesn't mean I'm going to end up having a nice condo or nice things. I gotta work for it, save, and be smart.
But first I gotta go to med school.

I've applied to 15 places and got 2 interviews and nothing. I realized it's cause I've never had a real part-time job that stores want experience.
Kinda hard to have experience when your trying to get it. College starts in a month, Maybe next summer

You definitely have a nice setup and place, everything well put and decorated. Congrats.
And if you want put more pictures, we won't mind
The living room and "workspace"/desk, if you don't mind. Thanks, I don't mind but what exactly are you interested in, more pictures of the iMac or more of my apartment?
I could make them this weekend as I lend my digicam to a friend.
Yeah, I even had a friend who worked at H&M for quite a while and got somebody else a job attach her recommendation to my resume and I havent heard from them. All I got was a reply saying they weren't recruiting but she said to discard it.agreed. i have sent out countless resumes and made endless phone calls for the last 8 months and have gotten like 2 interviews. I have just now acquired a job. im pretty sure thats only because all the college kids are leaving for school again. never should i have to be without a job for 8months.
I did play paparazzi with 2 of my other friends photographing a lawyers club dinner at FOX theater, but havent found anything else like it. I would like to shoot more gigs as I'm also trying to improve and build a portfolio. I'm majoring in graphic design but my DeviantART stuff is no where near as good as I want to be. I even tried posting some in the Photography section here and I was deemed "un-creative." So I was going to photograph some interior workspace and stuff, but sometimes I wish I was a millionare I have few dreams though.I only worked one part-time job in high school, at a local designer's clothing store. And I did some freelance graphics design work.
It's much easier to get decent work once you go into college, depending on what you're going to be studying. Work as a research assistant. Volunteer at labs and offices and eventually a paid job opportunity will come your way. I did a research program for credit during the year, and thus got a job for the summer. Just be proactive about it. Realize that often, retail/waiting is not the only thing you can do. I get paid far more in my lab position than I would at say, The Gap.
Working in academic positions also helps you network with faculty. This will help with applying for scholarships and such, which can amount to a healthier supply of income than your job (though you should continue working). I just won a Canadian National Excellence award from the Millennium Scholarship Foundation, but I'm not about to stop working in my lab, and I'm going to keep looking for other opportunities.
And try to do odd things here and there. My random design jobs and efforts eventually landed me a spot on the deviantART Creative Team, and I do low-budget work for student clubs and organisations. If you have a skill or a talent, use it, even if you have no formal education for it. I work in a psychology lab, but I'm not really in a psychology program. I work as a graphics designer, but I've never taken a single art or graphics design class in my life. Just take your hobbies and skills make something out of it. It just takes time.
Yeah, I'm moving back into my dorm, and I have this great idea. It's more-so placement so I can stop myself from putting too much money into it, so I'll definitely post photos if everything goes the way I have it in my head.Nicely said, I'm positive you can make a room look as nice as mine (depending on your taste of course) with a lot smaller budget. And you're right I got a lighting fetish I got some pretty expensive lamps myself...
But I guess I'm a lot older than you are so I probably have a bit more money to spend it on things like this.
