All nice and tidy for my new LCD display. My first. :) Sure it's no Cinema Display, but it also isn't the 17" CRT it replaced…

As soon as my imac intel came in (first mac, ordered on a tuesday night, day steve jobs released the imac intel) I took down my 19" viewsonic crt and my pc and sold them both. Currently to the right of my imac is my windows laptop sitting on the desk (mainly use for a little gaming and when I go on vacation to check email and watch over my servers). I don't keep to many computers around as I only need two (desktop and laptop).

Awesome looking. Even though it's simple, iMacs just always look GREAT. :) Good choice to switch.

Canon Pixma serie, or do you need the number to?
Love that printer, really nice design and pictpridge function is awesome.

The number would be a big help, I've been looking at printers that I can connect with my network (either by ethernet or WiFi). I'd pretty much decided on an HP, but when I saw iGary's printer, I decided maybe I needed to look around a little more. Anyone know how well Canon printers hold up? I've never had any problems from any of the HP printers I'ved had.

Here is my Powerbook G4, not that it changed too much since last time. The only difference is my wallpaper and that I got it an extra gig of RAM.

sweet wallpaper, indeed.

I love looking at everybodys setups. Also I enjoy looking at the Apple Cinema Displays. Im still on the fence as to whether or not I should sploge all my money on one, or get one of those wide aspect 20.1' viewsonics, that I saw earlier here which is pretty cheap from a local retailer here in canada. hmmm its a toughy.

i think you need some more water in that fish tank, also give it a good clean  :D
Yes, it probably does need a good clean. But it's a turtle tank, not fish. That's why it's half full.

A very messy, very temporary setup, with very crappy camera phone pics. I'll have an all new setup when I move into my house down at college in August.

Monitor and keyboard

My brand new and awesome home theater receiver, with my not so brand new, yet still awesome PS2.

Showing off my awesome photography skills. (It's my G5 with an external HD and 60gb video iPod on top of it. And that white line in the upper left corner is a speaker wire, but not for the speaker on the floor next to the G5.)

WIRES!!!! A huge mess. Most of the wire you see there is from the Sirius antenna in the picture. Of course, there's also a full surge protector. Also a heatsink I pulled out of an older PC. And a key to a luggage padlock. No idea where the lock is. Kinda random, but its there and I must've been too lazy to throw it away

Hey man, cool set up. I have pretty much the same receiver, but I'd warn against setting anything, especially a PS2, on top of it. Mine produces massive amounts of heat, and my PS2 used to as well (I have a new thin one now).

Really? My receiver's been on all day, decoding digital audio from my G5 (which I assume generates more heat than analog since it has a processor decoding it) and my receiver is cool. But I'll keep that in mind and try to find another spot on my desk to put the PS2

Beautiful pictures everyone!

Found a little time to take some pics of my lovely Machine ;)

Really nice.....but how much did you have to shell out for the 2GB RAM stick

I have got the same set-up just 1.5GB RAM.....would like 2.5GB but the 2GB sticks I have seen are like $500+.....

I thought imacs maxed out at 2 gigs?

So you telling me I can stick a 2 gig ram stick in one slot and say a 1 gig ram stick in the other slot?

And my imac will use all 3 gigs?

Well you notice they are all kind of empty. I usually yank one form the ridcge, and then it stays on my desk (along with the cosks, Reese Sticks, etc.) until I am motivated anought to do someting about them. :)

I think people are still waiting to see if a 2 Gb stick will work in the new intel macs - as far as I know it has not been tested, although I have heard a Dell laptop with the same processor and motherboard as the MBP apparantly accepts them.

Psychopulse - can you confirm that you are usin 2.5Gb of RAM??

If you look at the links mentioned above, they talk about 2Gb "kits"... that is 2 x 1 Gb sticks getting you to 2 Gb.

Couldn't 4GB be done too? 2x2GB
