Currently to the right of my imac is my windows laptop sitting on the desk (mainly use for a little gaming and when I go on vacation to check email and watch over my servers). I don't keep to many computers around as I only need two (desktop and laptop).

Yes, it probably does need a good clean. But it's a turtle tank, not fish. That's why it's half full.majorp said:i think you need some more water in that fish tank, also give it a good clean![]()

My brand new and awesome home theater receiver, with my not so brand new, yet still awesome PS2.

Showing off my awesome photography skills. (It's my G5 with an external HD and 60gb video iPod on top of it. And that white line in the upper left corner is a speaker wire, but not for the speaker on the floor next to the G5.)

WIRES!!!! A huge mess. Most of the wire you see there is from the Sirius antenna in the picture. Of course, there's also a full surge protector. Also a heatsink I pulled out of an older PC. And a key to a luggage padlock. No idea where the lock is. Kinda random, but its there and I must've been too lazy to throw it away

Really? My receiver's been on all day, decoding digital audio from my G5 (which I assume generates more heat than analog since it has a processor decoding it) and my receiver is cool. But I'll keep that in mind and try to find another spot on my desk to put the PS2Saluki Alex said:Hey man, cool set up. I have pretty much the same receiver, but I'd warn against setting anything, especially a PS2, on top of it. Mine produces massive amounts of heat, and my PS2 used to as well (I have a new thin one now).

Seeing all these iMacs makes me want one really bad....
technicolor said:I thought imacs maxed out at 2 gigs?
So you telling me I can stick a 2 gig ram stick in one slot and say a 1 gig ram stick in the other slot?
And my imac will use all 3 gigs?![]()
Couldn't 4GB be done too? 2x2GBScottyk9 said:I think people are still waiting to see if a 2 Gb stick will work in the new intel macs - as far as I know it has not been tested, although I have heard a Dell laptop with the same processor and motherboard as the MBP apparantly accepts them.
Psychopulse - can you confirm that you are usin 2.5Gb of RAM??
If you look at the links mentioned above, they talk about 2Gb "kits"... that is 2 x 1 Gb sticks getting you to 2 Gb.
