Why is your iMac hooked up to the TV? (Since the PPC Mini doesn't support FrontRow, it must be a latest revision iMac G5 or a core duo iMac.)

PS: iGary, you have teh insane stuff.

Nah, you can put Front Row on a PPC Mac mini (or PowerBook, or iBook etc...) with some fiddling around and control it with either a wireless keyboard or a mobile phone with bluetooth and Salling Clicker.

I had to do that with our PC's desk, (So many wires!) It actually didn't take that long. A staple gun and wire ties are your friend.

heh I thought that aswell. I can't be arsed with cable management and just like to let it all hang out :p

What model is the left one, I couldnt find it on Ikea's site. Hows the heat output on the Ikea lamps? Also do you have your power strip on the floor?

It's called FARJA (can't believe I saved the box).

I have two power conditioners - one for the peripherals and one for the computer alone.

My MacMini Setup

I've finally got round to taking a picture of my Mac Mini / Entertainment setup. I love having the Gamecube on the same footprint as a Mac (though I wonder if my Airport reception is suffering because of it :) ).

I was gonna set up my GameCube like that, but ended up getting an iMac instead of the Mini. Now I'm all about color scheme. I have 2 PSTwo's 1 black 1 white in the virtical stands. I'm gonna place them beside the iMac and a second monitor. I was going with the black Samsung 215TW, but I think I'm gonna look around for somethng with an integrated tv tuner and remote. The Sony MFM-HT205 looks good, but it's not black. Suggestions...

My brother has just decided to buy one of these:

I have to say that I'm very pleased with my LG TV in my photo above (despite the poor quality of my cameraphone photo). That's why my brother is looking at LGs.

The top of the mini is very easy to scratch, and your wireless connectivity is probably suffering as well. I'd suggest putting the mini on top if possible.. :)

EDIT: Gamecubes load from the top right? Ikea makes these really cute shelf things that would be perfect for you. If I see one soon I'll get the name for you.

Nice setup though!! :D

Still like the colors and lighting in the old one a little better, though.

Still haven't felt a need to change this 2004 setup; it's a 1.25GHz powerbook with a hdtv projector as a secondary display. it's only 100" screen.

You are right...100" seems to be doing the trick :p
