But to continue in the theme,

I'm waiting for (currently in Shanghai I think) my first steps into theMac Realm

20" Imac Core Duo w/2gb RAM, 256meg Graphics, 500GB HD.

&

17" MBP with 100GB 7,200 HD.

"Can't Bl**dy wait!!"

Looking forward to Logic Pro making my home studio complete. Cubase SX was just causing too many problems. (Or maybe it was the PC that was doing it ;) )

Here's my new desk with my setup . . .

Is the Xbox360 hooked up through DVI? I was thinking of getting that same Dell monitor and using it as a TV/Monitor/Video game screen.. but I'm not sure you can get Cable running to it.

Looks a bit like that (though with more on the desk most of the time!), i'll be moving home in a few weeks though, so all change again :(

On the desk is:
- MacBook
- LG 1780u
- Cyrus C7

Sweet! I am planning on getting a LG 19" widescreen and a Apple Keyboard:cool: Do you always have it like that, or do you also have the macbook open sometimes?

Still haven't felt a need to change this 2004 setup; it's a 1.25GHz powerbook with a hdtv projector as a secondary display. it's only 100" screen.

Totally pwning extreme! What resoloution does the 100" have? 1920x1200?

Most likely a top resolution around 1280x720. That's usually where the HD projectors run, though the really expensive ones can hit a full 1920x1080.

could be 1366x768, but based on the size of that window in context with the font and other portions of the screen, its probably not 1920x1080... especially if he bought it in 2004... a 1080p projector back then would have been unheard of, or wicked expensive.

I have the MacBook open if i'm away from the desk :) But when sat at my desk, it's easiest to plug everything in and just use the larger screen. I could do dual screen, but i don't really like that.

Sounds like me... any time I visit Chicago, I pretty much live on North Michigan Avenue -- between Starbucks (none around here :( )and the Apple store, I think I know where I'm going when I die :D ;)

Mocha Frappucino is my favorite, too -- and I'm typing from my MacBook Pro. Are you my long lost brother or something? :D

The green tea frap is even more awesome, carmel is now my 2nd fav.

Never tried the green tea Frappucino, but I love carmel one -- 2nd favorite here too. Dang, I wish we had a Starbucks up here!

AHH.
im not suppose ot have starbucks...
as an ORGANIC vegetarian starbucks is deffinately NOT in the guidelines of organic. *sigh* i only have TWO exceptions.

chipotle & starbucks.

we have like...more than 4 starbucks in our little university town.

*very glad to be a starbucks drinking, chipotle eating, organic aussi, macbook pro owning, university town living, forutunate souling, 15 year old *smiles & grins really big*

i looove all these starbucks & macbook pro owners. haha i thought i was the only one.

you knw us mac users have to be very defensive & protective...thers only 5% or 6,000,000,000 of us!

(& 2% of them just want macs to run windows on them!)

Haahaa. It's actually a Panera Bread & an I.C Mocha (Pretty much the same exact thing as a Mocha Frappucino). Macbook Pro's belong in cofee shops, I get alot of looks when I'm on it.

So, question. You only eat and drink organic things? Well, I'm assuming when the option exists? Just curious of how hard this is day to day. I'm currently a vegan who eats mostly organic, but it's hard with my limited access to supermarkets around here and such - though I'm lookin' to expand my horizons.

Panera is so good - and the atmosphere is great!!! (I love how this is being discussed in "Post Your Mac Setup: Past & Present," btw) :p

Well we have many organic stores. There are a lot of diverse people here. It's REALLY hard for me though, because I don't have sugar, if it's organic or not. It's hard to get anything that doesn't have sugar, meat, or artifical flavors in it. ugh. Life (my eating life) is SOOO hard. haha, but whateever keeps me healthy :D I just don't want to be a fat american. (im american...)
