I am not sure if anyone has posted shots of the 24" iMac yet, but I took some quick ones at our demos today and thought I would share for everyone.

In our downtime, we would watch trailers through Front Row - woah... nice. People across the room would tell us to not stand in front of the iMac so they could watch, too.

Really, the screen is just that big. And beautiful.

Those three iMac generations are excellent. Still like the G4 the most though. :)

Why do you use the double cord for your iPod? The 5G's can only be sync'd through USB and charge just fine through it too. I'm just curious if you have another reason I can't think of.

Just a guess...one of them is line-out?

where did you get your mouse at? and what kind is it (brand) ?

Its a Microsoft Mouse designed by Phillip Starck. I got mine from Selfridges (UK) but if you google it you should find a retailer. Some people dont like the mouse but i absolutely love it and have been using for the past 3 years. I got it when i got my first ever mac (a 12" PB). So some sentimental value there.

I use that chord because its a longer chord I used to have for a previous ipod. The one that came with the 5g iPod I use as my travel chord for my powerbook.

Incidentally the dual wire thing is USB and Firewire. And obviously Firewire is no good for the current iPods.

Does the MacBook Pro beat your previous PowerMac?

In most cases, yes. If the app is universal, then yes. The only programs I use that aren't universal are photoshop and illustrator, but they are fast enough to not be an issue at all.

Ripping and encoding a dvd with handbrake used to take a few hours on my dual 1.8ghz g5 tower. Takes 40 minutes on the macbook pro.
