Yes. It didn't make sense to me to add another peripheral. I haven't found another low profile keyboard that performs like the one built into the MBP anyway.

Don't you find that slightly awkward with all the wires coming out? Also, I've found a few keyboards I find far superior to the Macbook Pro's.

In fact, I do find it annoying to plug in the cables every time I come home from work, but I suppose that's the price of mobility.

As for keyboard preference, I've become so accustomed to the MBP keyboard layout that it has become muscle memory. For that reason, I haven't found an external wireless keyboard that works well for me. I will admit that I am very choosy when it comes to mice and keyboards, though. I'm also addicted to the Mighty Mouse scroll ball. I can't stand the two button function, however, the scroll ball is enough to keep me using it. Any keyboard recommendations?

You must know how it is with a ton of courswork and loads of exams, so I'll wait until spring for cleaning. Hopefully i'll get a nice Mac Book with Leopard so i'll have to clear some space.

Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can do today
:apple:-think different

I always find myself setting up very elaborate desktop systems, yet, my computer's primary desk always ends up being my lap.

The HDs are LaCie 320GB drives daisy chained via FW800 to the MBP. Each is used for system backup, photo/video storage, miscellaneous file storage. LaCie drives have always been reliable for me.

nuclearwinter, did you ever try the macally iceKey keyboard? I heard it's very comfortable and easy on the fingers...you might want to check it out.

That was actually the first keyboard I tried. It was eventually banished to the PC. If there were an external wireless keyboard that had the same features (low-profile, back-lit, screen control) as my MBP keyboard, plus a full number pad and forward delete, I might consider it. Price is of no consequence. I don't think I'll see those features in a wireless keyboard anytime soon. Although, I have been wrong in the past many times:)

Ok, this isn't a mac setup, (search this thread if you really wanna see my other setups). But I just had to show off my new blue shuffle I picked up yesterday :)

When I get into the store they hadn't even started selling em yet but they were nice enough to scan the one blue one into inventory to sell it to me.

Well, I haven't posted to one of these in a long time, so let's start off with the old setup pic:

Now, since then, I have changed just about everything in my setup, this includes:

New Glass Desk
Herman/Kardon Soundsticks II
Apple Cinema Display 22"
Samsung ML-2010 Laser Printer
Black Filing Cabinet
2.0Ghz Macbook, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD
Griffin iCurve
200GB Macally External Hard Drive
30GB Black Video iPod
Titanium Powerbook 667Mhz, 1GB RAM, 60GB HD
Griffin Elevator
New Wooden End Table
New Frame for the Beatles Picture :p

And besides the macbook, my favorite item:
A Carbon Herman Miller Aeron Chair
And probably several other things I'm forgetting....

Anyway, without further ado, Here is my current setup as of February 8th, 2007 (click pics for larger image)

LOVE the rotorary phone :)

Um, holy crap...that chair is at least $700. There's a few of those chairs in the study rooms at the campus library and they are amazing. I like the setup!
