Here's the old one:

what kinda dog is that?

Since I just cleaned up the room I figured it was safe to take a picture... What you can't see here is the dreaded Dell hiding under the desk and smothered in wires. (As soon as the Mac Mini is C2D I'm replacing the Dell with it!!)

The computer on the right is my almost 3 year old sons, he likes to play with his when I'm on mine. :)

Just moved my room around and got a new desk.

20" dell monitor
Logitech computer speakers
Orange Shuffle
Bose 6.2 everywhere speakers hooked up to cd player hooked up to 15 gig iPod.

Yepp. The desktop I have is a Dell Optiplex GX620 (3.4GHz P4, 3gbs of RAM).. so that is running Vista - to my dismay, I actually quite like it as a supplement to my MBP.

Is that the 24" widescreen dell in those pics? I'm liking the setup and I want to make sure my ACD can fit...

I'm sorry for the shocking quality of photos. I can't be bothered getting my flash gun out and my room's pretty dark. Ha.

At the moment, I'm using Tiger on a 1.42 Ghz G4 Mac Mini with 1gb of Ram.

Linked are a 20" Apple Cinema Screen, 4gb iPod Nano, Cinergy EyeTV T2 box and a 150gb LaCie HDD.

I've also got a G4 Powerbook which will soon be sold, along with the Mac Mini, for my new MBP Core2Duo with 2gb of Ram :)

Oh, then a Epson Photo R1800 a3 printer, alongside my Mission speakers :p

nice setup. i like it. what kind of dell monitor is that? do you like it? i'm thinking about getting a new one for monitor, but the apple one's too expensive.

That's a Dell 2007WFP, I have pretty much the same hardware as Schnebar there (20" iMac C2D with 2GB + Dell 2007wfp). It's a fantastic monitor for the price, has four inputs and a USB hub, is height-adjustable, and if you get one with an IPS panel (as I did) then it is the same panel as the 20" iMac has so the color reproduction is identical. Some are made with PVA panels though. Either way, it's a pretty good deal if you get it on sale in the low $300s. If you don't need the extras though, like PIP, four inputs, and a USB hub, you can get other 20" monitors for less.

The monitor is the 2007wfp - and I love it. I had a 24" before it, and that was great too. Awesome bang for your buck, and so far haven't had any issues.

Oops, nope, I've just been too lazy to update my sig. I sold my 24" and adopted a 20" instead, so that's what you see in the pictures. The exact opening of the desk is a little bigger than 20.5 inches, so I'm not sure the 23" (I'm assuming that's what you have and that's why you're concerned?) would fit. My 20" is 18.5 inches wide - I don't know what the 23" sizes in at (width-wise).

Nothing personal, but why do people buy wireless keyboards before they buy a wireless mouse? I would think that that mouse should lose its tail first because you move it around the most...

I did it because I got a great deal on the keyboard, and can't afford the mouse I want yet. Also, because the main reason I went wireless is 'cause I kept catching my foot on the cord of the keyboard or mouse, and dragging the whole shebang down onto the floor. Yeah.

I have a wireless keyboard but not a wireless mouse. My batteries drain too quickly with the mouse.

for those who have DELL screens in the last posts, how do you like it so far? have you ever tempted for the 30" 3007WFP?
i'm planning to get a couple of 30" next year but haven't been able to decide to go for Dell or ACD.
