Um, holy crap...that chair is at least $700. There's a few of those chairs in the study rooms at the campus library and they are amazing. I like the setup!

Thanks, yeah, the chairs do cost a lot, but I justified it by thinking this way: Most people spend more, if not a lot more, on their beds. So why wouldn't I want to get the best desk chair when I sit at the computer working, studying, etc almost as much as I'm sleeping? Plus, these chairs are rock solid and last FOREVER. I shouldn't need to get a new one for at least 10-20 years. Once you try one of these you can't go back to regular chairs, I don't know how I used that old thing for so long :p

LOVE the rotorary phone :)

Thanks, I always wanted one and when I found this one it matched my room perfectly :)

Where can one test out these chairs? I'm in an old OfficeMax cheapo and I spend a ridiculous amount of time at my desk. Don't know if I can drop $700 right now, but I'd like to try some better options.

Well, I haven't posted to one of these in a long time, so let's start off with the old setup pic:

Now, since then, I have changed just about everything in my setup, this includes:

New Glass Desk
Herman/Kardon Soundsticks II
Apple Cinema Display 22"
Samsung ML-2010 Laser Printer
Black Filing Cabinet
2.0Ghz Macbook, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD
Griffin iCurve
200GB Macally External Hard Drive
30GB Black Video iPod
Titanium Powerbook 667Mhz, 1GB RAM, 60GB HD
Griffin Elevator
New Wooden End Table
New Frame for the Beatles Picture :p

And besides the macbook, my favorite item:
A Carbon Herman Miller Aeron Chair
And probably several other things I'm forgetting....

Anyway, without further ado, Here is my current setup as of February 8th, 2007 (click pics for larger image)

i have that printer, truly a beast

Hey Maxwell Smart...how did you manage that framed Beatles portrait above your desk...looks hand drawn...one of a kind...but if not, any idea where I could find something like that?

I also have that printer. Though not at the moment - I had to RMA it yesterday, as it caught fire. Well, nearly. Black smoke from the paper ejection port :(

Here's hoping the new one doesn't do that...

I have a MacBook pro, and it's in my sig. if macbook pro's are really intriguing to you, here's mine:
actually, never mind. my cell's bluetooth is acting up, and I'm too lazy to get out my DSLR just to take a picture of my computer...

I can honestly say, I've looked through every page, and seen every photo in this thread.

I have that printer too! Got it from staples for $25 on sale... quite the deal.

Here's hoping mine doesn't catch fire either

Yeah, if you go to their site (http://www.hermanmiller.com/CDA/SSA/Locator/1,1824,a10-c498,00.html) you can hopefully find a location close to you where you can test one out for yourself before spending the money.

It was hand drawn, but mine is a print of the original drawing, it was made by an asian artist that I saw in the mall, and I purchased it with an inexpensive frame and later replaced it with a nicer wooden one that you see in the picture.

Yeah, it's an awesome printer, I rarely print in color, so it should last at least a few years on the stock toner cartridge. I think I picked mine up for like $50 after rebate incl. the toner cartridge which I think is a really nice deal.

Bah, think I payed £55 for it. Rip-off Britain as they say. But still, bargain, and the quality was very good. Supposedly they're reasonably easy to refill manually as well, which should save a bunch of money in the long run.

Kinda noisy though, though that may just have been my cursed one...

Got a new desk, different monitor, and new desktop, so I thought I'd post an update.

Here's the old one:
