Nice, and where did you get that sweet computer chair?

It's an ikea...and don't mock me...but i got it at a thrift store! Only $25. The only bad thing is that it is missing a metal thing on the back right...

I like the green color scheme you got going there... Green LED's on the creatures, green mini, and green sock!

i bet youre just mad because your ibook will probably be out of date in a few days and its not even two weeks old
His iBook will not be out of date in a few days, and neither will mine. They are not like PC's that go out of date after six months. Macs stay up to date for a loooooooong time.

That's not a very good way to make friends in this forum, either.

I got these harman/kardon desktop speakers yesterday. They're being fed by my Power Mac's line output. I got them without a power supply, but that's alright because I have some spare adapters. They have a built-in subwoofer output, so once I get a powered sub, that will replace my harman/kardon iSub (and in the process, it'll free up a USB port). The blue LED on the right speaker isn't annoying either.

I traded 1000 sheets of paper for the speakers, which is pretty decent considering the paper cost me $6.52.

btw the black things under the 23" monitor are a USB cable coiled up and a Belkin USB switch. I use the switch to alternate the keyboard and mouse between the Power Mac and the PowerBook (which sits behind the 23" on an iCurve.)

Thanks. If my setup pics are on spymac, I didn't put them there. I can't stand spymac for very long and it's been a very long time since I've even browsed that site.

Those Harmon Kardon speakers came included with the Purchase of HP 15/703 Flat Panel Monitors last year. Mine are in a closet somewhere.
I figured they came bundled with some HP product, given the HP logo molded in the back of each speaker. Did your set also come with a sub? I'm wondering if harman/kardon made a matching sub.

That particular model did not come with a sub. There is a subwoofer output on them, but the sub was sold separately, of course.

Thanks. If the matching sub is any good I'll probably get it eventually. Otherwise I'll just get any powered sub.

What do you do with that imac screen so far away?

I lowered the resolution to 800x600 and sometimes have it at 640x480 so I can see it from the couch. I use the computer to stream iTunes from my Power Mac, and also browse the web lightly. I really had nothing else to do with the computer once I upgraded, so I thought it would be fun to put it in there.

I'm keeping it because I really love the G4 iMac and don't want to sell it. I'm keeping it also in case anyone I know wants to learn how to use a Mac, I can just let them have that one for awhile, until they see the light. :) But mainly just because I love it. :)

Also, in true geek fashion, I have the iSight that I don't use hooked up to it and looking out the sliding glass doors in the background. That way, I can see who's coming. How geeky is that? :)

The desk is actually from Office Max, I believe. It wasn't exactly what I wanted at first, but I've grown to really like it.

I used to do colon-parenthesis but I hate emoticons, and all the boards automatically switch them. So, I switched the order to force my smilies to come out the way I want them. :) Mwuahaha!
