Thanks. That's a cool-looking chair. Not $800 cool (IMO), but cool nonetheless :)

Aerons are overrated ... HP has a bunch of those for employee's and i prefer their cloth training room chairs (not sure what kind they are); i've never found sitting on mesh very comfortable.

(still haven't shot my new setup :rolleyes: ) i'm currently using one of those ergonomic balance chairs ...

Not a matter of cool. The only chair I've ever been able to sit in for 12-14 hours without any discomfort. Best chairs made. Great for writers/designers/people whol live at a desk all day.

okay...for the third time... my baby is now displayed all over the picture gallery in powerbook setups, 18 and under, and finally the big one...so here it is...low res (if u dont notice) because i used my camcorder...no still camera...yet :rolleyes:

in a few weeks ill post my completed setup and in the next week ill post some of my powerbook in its natural habitat...

That's why I bought it. Never even tested it out before I picked it up, but when EVERYONE said "It's the best chair I've ever sat in", it was a pretty obvious choice.

We had them at my past place of work.

I really miss my HM chair.

I'll buy one at the end of the year if the business does well.

Right now I'm saving for a 30" ACD. :rolleyes:

For real? To replace the dual 20s?

They just seem to be nothing more than something to keep my additional windows on. What I need is something I can put an image up at almost full resolution. Should have thought more carefully.

What are you going to do with them? If you dont want them... I'll take one! :p

I have two of the Dell displays, and I find this is EXACTLY what I'm using mine for. One monitor has Adium, iTunes, pearLyrics, Mail, and a Finder window open at all times. The other monitor is the one I use for whatever it is I'm actually doing at the time: Photoshop, GoLive, Illustrator, surfing, whatever.

It works great for me, and I love it and can't see how I could have just one monitor (unless it was that 30") again, but I can see how a 30" would be perfect for you, iGary. I think I could "manage," though, with one 30" instead of two 20s". :)

My Current Setup -
* mac mini, gig of ram, external 250GB FW drive (Lacie porche)
* dell 2005 fpw 20" widscreen monitor
* G4 ibook

Last Setup -
* 900mhz G3 ibook
* Sony E400 19" monitor

Just pick up a used G4 DP 450mhz for free to play with... case mod?? :D

Aeron chairs are incredible, and you all should by one...

And I'm not just saying that because HM is based out of my hometown (grand rapids) or because my uncle helped design the chair ;)

Very nice desk set-up... where is it from if you don't mind me asking?

It looks quite similar to the Soho range at John Lewis, but they don't seem to have the same side panels.

Not sure i've got enough room for a corner set-up like that but i do need to find a funky desk asap as hopefully i'll be getting a cinema display next week to accompany my PB.

Does it have adjustable feet at all? there's a bit of a slope in the floor in my flat!

cheers :)

EDIT: ooops ok, i just found your rinky dink link! wow great price. so can you adjust the feet at all? i probably need it raised about 1 or 2cm on one side

I do the same thing here... my 15" LCD has MSN Messenger, Windows Media Player, and Konfabulator running on it, and my 23" LCD is where I do my work. It's nice to be able to prevent window confusion by selectively segregating some windows to a second display.

My setup from the other thread: Enjoy.

Soundsticks? In my opinion, they are incomparable. The sound quality is absurdly good and so is their looks!

Get a pair, I gurantee you wont regret it!

I'll second that! They are kinda expensive, but worth it!
