Cool. :) Is the screen on the PowerBook open in the photo? I think I see it peeking out from behind the speaker. ;)

Yes it is.

And yes the powerbook supports higher reso, but wouldn 't be much good from the couch :)

It does indeed ;)
Next week, when my girlfriend returns with her digital camera from a weekend i'll be sure to post some pics of my iBook 300, running panther really really well. Just to rub it in to some of you jealous guys/girls faces ;).
The only down is the 800x600 resolution. Speed is adequate.

Tiger should run on these books using XpostFacto. I might check it out in a few months, for now i'm just enjoying my first mac laptop, panther's cool enough for now.

Yeah, I'd love to try Tiger, but I'd need a bigger HD than 3Gb and I would need to find Tiger on CD Media, as I only have the DVD and don't really want to do the exchange because I like the DVD.

Definitely one of the cooler and cleaner setups I have seen in a long while. The resolution comments made by other members are accurate for my personal preferences as well, however with sitting back on the couch I see your reasoning ;)

Nice, clean setup you've got there! God, I love the look of the Aluminum PowerBooks. I'm not sure which I like better, those or the TiBooks.

glad you caught that, i brought back 2 bags from california. Not an easy find here in zurich where there isnt an official apple store.

And as for the texas flag, theres a belgian one, and a swiss one over it. I was just born in texas, many many many years ago.

It would kill my eyes to have to go back and forth between an LCD monitor and an old CRT monitor.

I like that alot. How easy is it to see the Powerbook when youre at the desk(and how far away are you).I'm debating between iBook and Powerbook, and one main thing is gettting an external moniter ant an iBook or a bigger Powerbook.
