Heh. Well I accidentally made a thread in Mac Computers because I had no idea this thread existed. Here are my current macs:

My PC and my newly bought (and fixed) PowerMac G4!

Showing off the G4! (Hey it's my first mac desktop machine!)

Powerbook 15"

partialpic

i have a 15" PB on my desk and a IBM desktop underneath (for work apps) and i use a ConnectPRO USB KVM switch to switch back and forth so i can share an extra monitor with my PB and also wireless keyboard and mouse.

99 pages of awesome mac set-ups. I love it! I am still going through all the pages but thought I would post the pictures of my living quarters/amateur radio shack/computer room/office :)

Picture 1- Most of the room showing My IBM 390X, Homebrew Linux Box, Ipod, and one Macintosh 5500.
Picture 2- You can see the Macintosh 5500 better
Picture 3- Better view of the ipod.. sadly that is a Thinkpad and not a Powerbook on that corner of the desk..
Picture 4- Bedside Macintosh 5500 for that latenight computing (Mostly IRC/Web surfing)

Try to count how much Apple Paraphernalia you can see in the pictures.

Post Black Friday Picture

Well, I hit the good ol' Wally World at 5:00 am with the weirdo's this morning and now I have a new set-up in my office. I don't know what I'm going to do with this new 15" LCD TV that I picked up, but for $178 I couldn't pass it up. Plus it got some pretty decent reviews on-line ... so, for now I have it hooked up to my iBook with the Screen Spanning Doctor thing, but eventually I may wall mount it and play some video games on it... Now, it's just kinda fun!

What brand is the 15" LCD ?? thanks

BTW Looks good!!

This probably doesn't sound very good, but it is a Poloroid brand LCD. I checked the reviews online and really over all it got some pretty good reviews. Especially considering what my uses were going to be .... umm, yeah there must have been some reason that I bought this other than the fact that I really wanted a cool TV because I felt pretty "Goodwill" watching my 20" wood paneled TV from the very early '90's. Yep, I'm pretty impressed with it so far ... I've used it for screen spanning and to watch a part of a dvd and it looked decent.

It is a good looking LCD indeed. $178 is certainly was certainly a fab deal for it. People always talk about brand, but really if it works than it works. Because of the price, if it stopped working before a more expensive LCD TV, than it wouldn't matter. You could just go buy a cheaper one. Anyhow, I wouldn't play game on it, I would keep it hooked up to my mac.

...well *I* don't have a mac that could hook up to that (My two macs don't even have composite video).

maybe investing in a KVM-like system to switch it between being the second display and being a tv/game system screen, would be a good idea.

It's been a while...

Although I still have the iMac w/ the 2005FPW at my desk, I find myself more and more just lounging around with the PB+(beloved) iLap :D
