Another Survivor fan huh? Looked like Survivor: Cook Island?

My C2D macbook with bestkinsever applied, Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, my new white Treo 680, and the corniest white lamp I could find.
How do you like the new Treo 680 i was thinking of getting it aswell asthe blackjack and Blackberry pearl...too many choices.

how do you find that keyboard? i see you've used a few...

I too have it, i got for the mouse... i wasn't too found of the keyboard but i got used to it and i love it... i tried going back to my BT apple and didn't like it...

nice to know that. i just bought one in ebay in spite of i already have the best mouse ever: mx1000. i just can't stand apple peripherals. the keyboard doesn't respond too well and the mighty mouse makes my hand suffer :(

Treo 680 is starting to annoy me. There's no option that allows you to set the alarm tone to ring several times. It only rings once!.

Silverscreen also, doesn't work properly. Battery life is abysmal. I still prefer the 650. Wish i hadn't sold it already. Oh well, maybe one of these years i'll have to try get a blackberry afterall.

I like the 680 so far. But, the battery life is terrible!! I am not a heavy user either. The white is more of a pearl color. I would have ordered a different color if I would have known that up front.

Yeah i didn't wanna pick colours because of the slight chance i'd not like them. So i chose the neutral graphite. Its sleeker and the lack of antenna is a God send but the tradeoffs are slightly on the heavy side. Contemplating putting mine on eBay right now but i may just leave it.

Cool setup by the way.

Well, I'm waiting for my Dell 2407FPW to be delivered, but in anticipation of its wonderful arrival, I reorganized my setup, and cleaned a bunch. So here it is, with a gap for the display:

You're getting one too!!!:D

Yeah! This will be the largest display I have ever regularly used! I had a Dell 2001FPW a while back, and that was a great display. I made the mistake of getting a regular (non-widescreen) LCD this time around, and it's been a pain for me not being able to have two documents side by side. I almost got another 2001, but figured, hey, I don't own a TV, this computer's my only "entertainment center", let's get the biggest monitor the Mini can handle. Ta-da!

You and your Flikr pages. I just spend the past the last half hour looking at your macs and surfing craigslist for a suitable g4 server project. Argh! I thought I was cured of these silly ideas! ;) Nice projects btw.

What was the reason you went with the dell over the apple 23"? Just curious.

Price, basically. The Dell outlet has the 2407 for $599, while the Apple was $899. I was able to pick up the Dell from a forum member for a little less than the outlet price+tax, so I'm happy.

The other features (extra inputs, etc) were a bit of a draw, too, since I will be using this as my primary entertainment center display for at least a year.

And yeah, playing around with computers is good times, as evidenced by my Flickr page. I'm trying to think of a new project to build around this spare 466Mhz G4 processor I can't seem to get rid of...

haha you may wanna invest in a new desk if you have that monster coming. i've got the same same desk with a 20inch imac sitting on it and there is barely room for my soundsticks to sit next to them. i've had that same monitor and it is awesome...congrats

Thanks, yeah, I need to get a new desk. It's served me well, but I'm runnin' out of room. I used for have a 2001FPW with my Cube on it before, and that was really low on space already. I can't imagine how the 2407 will fit.:

Finally got that USB Super Disk Drive so I can use an old Mavica...

Wow, that brings back memories. My first work digital camera was a Sony Mavica with a floppy drive built in. It took a lot of shots per disc too, man I wonder what size they were... I completely forget.

640x480
1024x768
and I believe 1280x1024 - same as displays

After getting rid of iBook and Ti....

As I realized I had too many Macs, I sold iBook and Ti PB (at the decent price as they were basically in a mint condition as I take care of my Macs very nicely).

So, I was able to trim down my inventory to MBP, 2 PBs, Tablet, Dell & HP (oustisde the picture).

Now, I have 2 extra keyboards and a few too many mice. I guess I will save them till I go for MP next year after CS3 is released.

More Pics

YS2003, it looks like you've got a pretty tasty setup....do you have any more pics there seems to be a lot going on and i'd love to see it?

Oh so cluttered  I think it would drive me insane to work at that!

Actually, it is very workable. I have several hubs for USB, Firewire 400, & Firew800, and several external Lacie and Maxter drives, 3 external speakers, and what not. So, it is impossible to clean up wires like other people who has a simple and elegant set up on this thread. I simply have so many:D .......I know it would get more cluttered with wires as I am going to add MacPro soon. For that I would need extra small furniture.....
