just got it yesterday!!

I was troubleshooting this EXACT Verizon model yesterday and was confused why out of the box my user did NOT have Enterprise Activation app on the home screen nor in Options> Advanced Options.

Does yours exhibit the same situation? Even on the 8100 on BIS my BB on Rogers Wireless (Canadian GSM network) had this available. I'm just wondering if this is a trend on Verizon. I'm gonna check out Telus Mobility's 8130 to see if the same situation is there.

N73+N95.

Love them both, but the N73 has been through the wars, as you can see the top half of the fascia is missing, this happened while in Spain, I dropped it from a 3rd story balcony. Also I flashed it with the Music Edition firmware and this unfortunately wiped out the bluetooth. I do plan on fixing both of these problems. It is locked the 3UK (Hutchinson?).
The N95 I received yesterday on my new o2 contract, 400 minutes 1000 sms free phone £25/mo for 24 months. So far I love it, more than the iPhone I have used in store. Although the web browser on the iPhone is supriorior I do not find the one on the N95 is bad for how much it gets used. The N95 also works with Salling Clicker, I love this software the thing I like most about it is that it pauses iTunes while you are making or receiving a call. This phone is simfree.

Yea i don't have it on mine either. Must be the "Big V" doing what they do best lol ;)

How do you like this phone?
Yea, I love it. I hate the voyager with a passion so that wasn't an option for me. My dad has a blackberry and he hates it causes everyone from work can contact him whenever, but i like it that i can have my email. Set up was a snap with dot mac and my school email. I just had to type in my user name and password and it was done.
I love the size of it. I'm not writing huge long emails, just a few sentences so i don't mind the small keyboard. I hate suretype so i just use multi-tap. I'm getting quicker and quicker by the day with it. Haven't used the music/video player yet as i have my ipods for that. The camera is decent quality. (2MP) I think the reception is better then my old Moto e815 along with better sound quality. The browser is decent. It not full HTML like the iphone but i can still kill time check MR using the mobile edition.
I downloaded the facebook app which is really cool. I can upload pictures from the phone directly to facebook and do everything else facebook can do.
Only negative i have so far of this phone is that being on a mac you can only sync a handful of things like contacts/addressbook, ical, stickies, mail. If you pay for the missing sync you can sync music etc. Also some of the themes and apps are for download to computer only and they are zip files and require the blackberry app for Windows to install. To get around this you need to find games/apps/themes that are OTA- over the air download.
Hope this helps

Most of you guys have really high end type phones. Mine is just a basic phone :( I've never used the camera on it. It doesn't have bluetooth and I'm guessing it's not compatible with Mac OS X. Works good for me though, all I ever do is make a few calls and text on rare occasions. :)

Sharp 811SH. I hate it with a passion. It was the cheapest phone with bluetooth they had so...

It is the most cheaply made you ever seen. I tap the battery cover with two fingers and it comes off. It crashes. AND i have not had it even a year.

Also my i dnt like the look much but it was the best looking phone in price range.

I got a KRZR about a month ago. Would rather have a iphone (stupid me, i got a 400 ipod touch when i could have had a ipod and a phone for less)

Ok, so in my original post I had a treo 680 and said I might be upgrading to the LG Shine slider soon, and I did! I finally got it today (tip: Don't deal with Rogers!) so here she is.

I figured out that the missing Enterprise Activation is a two-fold issue.
1> Your on a BIS plan.
2> Due directly or indirectly to above (as per my 2 users on our BES) the issue is VZW did NOT send the Blackberry Enterprise Service CLass to the 8130 and thus no Enterprise Activation icon on Home Screen nor listed in Adv. Options.
I got it resolved in 24hrs. And yes I'm a Jr. HD BES Admin; I figure this ALL out without direct access to the BES as well. Time to get certified and make the BIG cheddar.

Sheesh. Sorry I hear "I hate suretype" ALL the time by new users ... less than 1mth of first time using ANY BB (BlackBerry) unit. Sure there IS a backwards learning curve if you've used a BB (individual key) qwerty model before for some time, as these users cannot adjust in their heads. However SureType is SUPPOSED to LEARN your typing habits, and does an AMAZING job at it if you JUST let it do so. Just like the instructions say ... just KEEP typing the word you're after, EVEN if the letters just do NOT match. Then you backspace just enough to have the correct letters in order and type 1 letter at a time, scrolling to get the exact match. after just 2 times doing this the word/name you're after in a full sentence will be either the 2nd/3rd match and within a few repetitions will be the first. Sure there ARE a few mistakes that needs to be fixed ... almost insulting and embarrasing combinations but its VERY good. Using the TAP method is just way to slow in a paragraph. I'd be able to type 40wpm on a Pearl just after my first month. No longer have the Pearl because data was catastrophically high here in Canada but just changed 1.5mths ago so I'll probably get another Pearl (Pearl 2 for GSM) or Curve 8310 shortly.

YIKES! Gads NO ... not for Blackberry's! Everyone that SEEMS knowledgeable there is just regurgitating original information posted on Blackberryforums.com - with one exception ... myself (prom1) and Mark Rehjon, and a handful of others. Mark is a major catalyst of why BB's are so popular with consumers and why so many migrated from the Sidekick to a BlackBerry - just like he did. Btw he runs his own business - and I swear RIM is STUPID for night contracting his knowledge and insight for consumer marketing/positioning. Also he is deaf. You can only IMAGING how powerful the BlackBerry is for him that most of us overlook.

On the other hand .... for END USER applications especially for MEDIA ( My test is to view pictures WHILE playing music - I could NOT acheive this on the Pearl 8100 or the first 8800 or 8300 Curve), I need more ... and thus the Nokia N82 offers just that much more.

Actually I'm not sure if it has to do with my work thinking we're all stupid or their desire to continue to control us, but my 8703e did not have the icon on the home screen either out of the box. When they decided they needed to move servers i had to reactivate it. To do that they gave us instructions on where to find the icon. This is on the Sprint network but people with a BB and no phone # tied to it in the company sit on t-mobile and also have the icon hidden. fwiw. ;)

I use a Nokia 6131 NFC. The 'NFC' stands for Near Field Communication, meaning I can pay with my phone in certain shops. I'm participating in a pilot that runs 'till February 2008. When it works it is great.

Hi, im thinking of getting a N73 with my Christmas money, and I have read reviews etc. but I thought I would ask for the opinion of someone who owns one... What do you think of it? Also, how did you go about flashing it with another firmware???

Its nice, but the software is a bit slow. Firmware, I wouldn't even want to tell you how to reflash it with how I messed mine up. Personally with the price of the N73 I would rather go for the SE K800i. They're about the same price iirc. My fathers girlfriend has one and it's an exellent phone.
