Nice work guys!! This is my first creation in my first college level Design Class, "Introduction to Digital Design". I took it at a Community College, we are very fortunate to have our Digital Design teacher be a certain charector. He's an awesome designer and a big inspiration for me, too bad he doesn't teach anything beyond that class.

* I took a 300dpi daytime photo of the view from the sears tower, converted it into a night-time photo by changing the levels.
* I added a black gradient arround the borders to create a sense of falling in.
* I scetched a man falling, scanned the image than inverted making the human white and background black. I made a copy of the man and put a motion blur on it to make it blurry yet solid.
* I took a 300dpi photo of a hand and added a glow to it. This hand to me represents the step program to get over the fear.

Some of my work is here:

I dont think im that good in Photoshop yet, even though ive been using it for what seems like forever! I havent done any Illustrator work either yet (Dont know if my mac mini could handle it!)

Btw this is all done on a lowly Mac Mini G4 1.5ghz, 512mb ram, Radeon 9200se...

Shows what the Mac Mini G4 really can do!...

If anybody could post some small tutorials or step by step on how they did some of these things it'd be great.

From what I gather, working extensively in Photoshop is a lot like programming and problem solving... so many tools that have to work together to get your desired effect :)

The Altophobia poster that I posted, is this good enough to present to the class for effective graphics? I'm not so confident in my work yet, I don't want to present anything that isnt the best I can do. I know as a aspiring designer I need to get over this.

hahaha, man that got to me.

This is a new piece I made, for a one-man play. I had to cut him out of a really dark background and add the grunge, wall, etc. I also made the photo look "old-timey"

Did you create the wallpaper/background yourself?

I just beat FF X again a few days ago. I started X-2 but it was just awful, so I like to pretend it doesn't exist.
I hated x2 aswell just too complicated!
