That is pretty amazing. How exactly did you make this? If you're still around I'd love to know :)

Thanks very much.
All my work is done in Photoshop CS3.

I havent painted in a while, but Im working on project ive been brewing for about 10 years. Just never got round to drawing it.

New speedpaint which will be second panel in the graphic novel.

Thanks! I need a new wacom actually...

I assumed it was Photoshop (hence the thread title ;)) but do you just open up the original image, create a new layer and use brushes to paint over the photo? Or is it a little more complicated than that? I'd love to do exactly what you've done, I really think it's incredible. And would a tablet be crucial or can I just use my external mouse? Thanks :)

What do you mean by photo? I use some photo textures but I definitely do not draw over an image.
And yes, get a wacom. Its definitely the best investment I ever made, expensive but damn worth the hassle of going through all the ****** alternatives Argos has to offer haha.

So you made that from scratch!? Wow, all the more impressed.

yes but used a ref. Just a soft pastel brush. The one with the rocks was obviously more elaborate, with custom brushes. I enjoy just smudging shapes about and throwing colour about, thats how it starts. If you wanna see good speedpaints (done in less than hour, or more but no less than 4) visit Sijun speedpainting thread. Over a 1000 pages of truly amazing art.

Not really creations, but I edited these in photoshop, and thought I would post. Took me a while and I don't know whether I'm happy with them or not :\
1. Original.
2. Cleaned up version.
3. New reflection version.

This one was for a Halloween sig contest:

If I ever get around to making the iPhone app I want to make, this will form part of the icon:

EDIT: I realise there are loads of mistakes (shadows and lighting etc) :p

Ok, let me explain before you look at the picture, this is my first try at using Garry's mod to pose props and take photos of them, I usually build massive forts :D. Anyway, I haven't used photoshop in YEARS(emphasis needed) below is the one I mucked around with, and it looks like I need to practice! So constructive criticism is welcome :)

INB4 I know about the bloom, I really did over use it. I'm aware of that

This is actually kinda old, but I'll still share:

Just something crazy, it was an assignment to get the cows to look like they're were on the farm, but I decided to go "above and beyond" since it didn't take me that long.

Here's my project for my Photo 2 class:

We had to create Tarot cards with 4 of the 7 sins. I did 5 for extra credit. I shot all the photos with my D80.
