I rarely use photoshop to do anything other than to change some basic things on images. I've never made an image from scratch or anything like that.

Here's an image I made for my msn pic a few months ago. He's a hockey player so I just took the pic from the team site and added some things for fun.

I also made this a while ago for an iLounge contest. Didn't win, unfortunately. :) It's a mockup 6G iPod/iPhone.

Wow that is really good. I am impressed. I like the "Your Digital Life. Anywhere" part too.

Attempting pixel art in PS. Not a great tool for it really. Like driving a Bentley to the local shops.

So I drove that Bentley to town and started work on a 1680*1050 pixel art piece.

Taking a stab at the "Apple sucks, but I love iPod" crowd.

BBTW, here I found a guide to PS made by a guy I know called Perry (nickname Pezza). He is teh ultimate king of PhotoShop (IMO:D ). Anyways, this is probably good for n00bs (I am not trying PS, to complicated for me, my limitations are iPhoto. )

iPwn!

This signature picture for another forum I'm on, was made by this Pezza guy. He hasn't touched PS for months, so he's a bit out of training, but I like it:

Inspired by AGoglanian's photograph in the Picture of the Day thread, I decided to give the same theme a go and came up with this:

186098519_085e971165.jpg

It's one of my first creations with PSE 4, and isn't much but I'm happy with it. It did take longer than I would've thought to erase the B&W from the body.

[EDIT] photo didn't seem to be loading onto Flickr so I looked up the info and found that the file is 16.3mb. Any ideas on how/where to host this photo so I can post it?

[EDIT 2] When saved as a .psd the file with 16.3mb but when saved as a .jpg it was only 2.6mb so I was able to get it loaded.

A simple tutorial about making the brushed surfaces, just like the wallpapers here: http://www.deviantart.com/view/36156745/

http://www.deviantart.com/view/36185801/

It doesn't contain sound, I'm having some problems with sound in SnapzProX, I'll update the tutorial when I'll get rid of the sound problems, but I think that tuto is so easy, that you'll understand everything even without the sound - just follow the white rabbit... I mean, black cursor ;)

The zip file is about 10mb.

Open the tuto with Quicktime - it's a .mov file ;)

Hope you like it and it will be helpful to ya! ;)

Please fav this tuto if you like it ;)

Thanks and have fun ;)

wow thank you for liking something i did that much :), i'm glad i was able to give you some source of inspiration,

i like the idea you are working with, but you may want to desaturate the colors just a bit on the runner. may make it a bit more suble and add a nice touch.

How much would you suggest on the desaturation? I was playing around with it and wouldn't want to go below -25. Also I was thinking or adding a slight blur to to the background and maybe adding color to the track.

Suggestions?

These are all great creations. I am a definite noob but plan to play around with Photoshop during the rest of the summer. This is pretty much the extent of my ability.
