Premier Customers Only - What's your status?

Hey Premier Customers,

What is your order status? Has your order shipped? What's happening with your order?

I ask because I ordered on the premier site on June 10th and the funny thing is, it finally showed up on the main ATT site yesterday with backorder status and a "New" order date.

I would love it if you all shared your updates here! Please stick to Premier Customers only!

I ordered mine on 6/12 and the Premier site says 6/12 but the AT&T site (regular order status page) says 6/13. Nothing as odd as yours. Still on back order. Still no movement. Even though I know they won't ship until Friday, I want to see some more info on that page.

It's my first iPhone too! :)
 
I ordered mine on 6/12, around 1pm PST. AT&T's site shows the order as shipped. UPS tracking says it was shipped on 6/17. Origin scan was Ft. Worth, TX at 1:17am, scheduled for on-time delivery tomorrow. But mine is shipping to a local AT&T store, so I doubt I'll be able to get it before Friday. :mad:

And this is my first iphone, too. Can't wait!!
 
Mine says exactly the same thing. Ah well. Not much I can do other than wait.

Did you order through Premier?
 
Same here. Does the message mean that we won't get the "first round " of iPhones and will have to wait for the back ordered batch? I checked with Apple store and I could only get 1 iPhone on the 19th (I wanted 2, one for me and 1 for my wife), then I checked with an AT&T store and they said 1 per person, but I figured if I ordered online, my discounts wouldn't be screwed up. Here's to hoping for a Friday double-iPhone day!!!

BTW: our first iPhones, too!;)
 
Two different orders on 6/9 at ~6pm central (two upgrades). Both still show backordered on regular ATT site; both still have 'blah' message on Premier site.

Both still show order date of 6/9

I did. But I actually went into my local store, gave them my company's FAN number and had them do it through the premier site.

I know, sounds stupid, but there was a logic to my madness. My wife and I are switching from Verizon and I needed to get her non-iphone ASAP 'cause her old phone had just died. So I figured I'd go to the store to get hers that day and have them order my iphone while I was there.

Apparently going into the store (or ordering from Apple) was the thing to do. Oh well. Lesson learned.
 
Since the new iPhone is practically my first APPLE product that I spend my own money on, I wonder how do you become a premier customer. :apple:

That's a tough call. A friend of mine ordered directly from Apple two days before I did, and he doesn't even have tracking info yet.
 
Ordered June 10th, Premier, been in process/backorder since.

I spoke with a premier rep this morning and he made it sound like I really shouldn't hold my breath expecting to receive it on Friday. According to him Monday or Tuesday was a much better bet. Really effing stoked about spending the next 2 years with AT&T.
 
My Experience

Ordered by phone (Premier) on June 12.

At various times, I have gotten three different answers from AT&T Premier reps, some on the phone, and some on online chat.

1. Shipment notices and phones begin going out tomorrow (June 18).
2. Notices and phones go out starting Friday, June 19.
3. (no kidding on this one) They ship out in 7-14 days. (she pauses) Wait, you ordered on June 12, so they ship on June 19.

So, basically, they don't have any coherent clue as to when it will happen, but if enough of us cross our fingers, maybe the lot of them will fire away tomorrow.
 
My shipment left Ft. Worth at 3:55pm local time, likely destined for the Anaheim, CA UPS distribution center. Still says scheduled for delivery tomorrow, so I'll be heading to the AT&T store as soon as I have delivery confirmation. Maybe some Starbucks for all of the salespeople will help grease the skids and they'll give it to me early???

Yeah, I know. I'm not holding my breath. :)

What is the format of your Premier order number? The number they gave me won't pull up anything over the phone-automated thing or the online Premier order check thing.

My order number looks like

(x = letter) (K = K) (2 = number)

K2222-X-2222222.

Just wondering if my number actually means anything.

It does mean something.

I have two different order numbers. The one that came in my confirmation email is simply a five digit number. But when I click on that link to check status and it takes me to the AT&T "order status results" page, there is a number similar to yours. Using your example above, mine is XX222222XXX22, no dashes. The only difference is that my first digit is actually an X, whereas yours is a K.

And the five digit number I have doesn't correspond to any part of the longer one.

You would figure that there HAS TO BE THOUSANDS of Premier orders....you would also figure that they would not try to screw us.

Yeah, that's what I did and mine is on its way to the store. I suppose take note for next year or the year after- whenever you decide to upgrade. AT&T has quite frankly been gorgeous with me so far.

ATT says backordered
ATT Premier says "processing soon"
ATT rep said my order will ship the 18th via FedEx
ATT rep on http://www.facebook.com/ATT: "All orders placed via business channels on or before June 12th will begin to arrive as early as the 19th. Orders placed after the 12th will arrive 7-14 days after the order was placed."
