Besides, what if something happens and plane needs to emergency descend or do dangerous manoeuvre?
In the case of an emergency, the cabin crew will tell the flight crew will tell people to take them off.
How would crew let passenger pull out their expensive Vision Pro and prepare for the emergency without damaging those $3500 devices in commotion and chaos?
The airline will insure the headsets.
How about theft? Are they really thinking through?
How is someone going to steal a headset when the cabin crew knows who has one and they will take them back before final descent?

If Middle East luxury airlines don’t offer it today, I find it hard to believe this offer will last very long. The same way they do now when people sleep and/or have headphones on.

Having AVP for flight does entertain passengers during the flight journey especially long distance. If I were a frequent flyer of majority of my life time, I would get AVP. I do not see any other reasons to have AVP outside entertainment on my current lifestyle like other owners.
Keep calm, be hopeful all flights will accommodate AVP in the future and be happy on the current state. 😊 Life is too short for being unhappy 😊 Enjoy as much as you can always 😊

You have pretty much made them bankrupt just by posting this comment. Absolutely destroyed.

Nah I don't do anything 🤣. These things pop up every few months, make vast claims about their wonderfully viable business model, then disappear in a puff of smoke. They are purely designed to rip off investors in the Middle East who haven't quite got over the fact that tasteless luxuries aren't a long term viable business yet.

This is the gold leaf covered Mercedes of airlines.

Edit: source is ripping these companies off for many years on contract. I don't even feel bad!

Available to select passengers, read first-class customers (and it's a premium airline, a round trip is already over $3k to start with) - those who have the means to have their own AVP in the first place, and/or that would probably skip the option of using one that's been worn by hell knows how many people before them.

It makes for a spiffy press release tho.
Its an all business seat airline

How does it work now when one is immersed(?) in a seat-back screen with headphones on? Signal is cut off and a message appears that prioritizes hearing the Captain or Crew tell them where they are, when they will land, what the weather is at the destination, or about how they can get a bazillion airline points if they take this one-time only special offer for a credit card on this- and only this- flight right now, etc. Perhaps Vpro will make it easier to actually hear what is being said and then SHOW the wearer what the weather looks like at the destination... and how those airline card points could be used in the future to enrich their lives in countless ways only airline points can. ;)

Jarring. Even more so than now.

That's the stupidest thing ever 😂😂

What about face shape, head size...

More importantly what about eyepower?

These aren't iPads or iphones that everyone can just pick up and use.
They fasten it on so tightly that those things don't matter... eyeballs squished up against those micro LED screens... no air gap...

Then they show commercials for cryptocurrencies on loop for 3 hours before they show a flight safety video just as the aircraft has landed at its destination.

🤨

Yeah this isn't happening. Beond have 1 cranky old airbus and one on order, only 5 destinations and a low density luxury model. They will be taxed to hell for this soon and the investors will pull out. It's for people who can't afford a Learjet but think they can.
Ya but other airlines will be doing the same thing soon. Go AVP!

Most airline passengers are not going to choose an expensive flight over a cheap flight just so they can play with a VisionPro in between numerous interruptions. The existence of budget airlines like JetBlue, Frontier and Spirit prove that.

On the other hand, imagine watching "Masters of the Air" in spatial video and audio as the hero's plane gets hit and goes down in flames!
