Well, to be fair we would have to compare with a business or first class ticket since the article describes a “lay flat” configuration.

Absolutely which is why I specified "economy" flights for the other airlines. "Business class" flights on other airlines could be the same or even more than Beond flight prices. "First class" flights can be significantly more.

Yeah this isn't happening. Beond have 1 cranky old airbus and one on order, only 5 destinations and a low density luxury model. They will be taxed to hell for this soon and the investors will pull out. It's for people who can't afford a Learjet but think they can.

These 'luxury' airlines pop up periodically. They rarely make it a year before the inevitable bankruptcy.

It's not a workable business model. For people who can afford a ticket on one of these airlines, it makes more sense to charter a plane. That lets them bypass the hassle of dealing with security theatre, bypass the whole check-in and getting to a gate at the far end of the airport. They can just have their driver drop them off at the plane, board immediately, and go.

It’s adorable that you think BUDGET airlines clean things.

Fixed that for you :) You should try some of the more quality experiences. The saying 'you get what you pay for' exists for a reason.

The better airlines do indeed clean with disinfectants especially on overseas flights. Even been to New Zealand? By law they even disinfect the passengers (or at least the cabins with passengers sitting there) with foggers before they are allowed to deplane.

Uh huh. Keep on thinking that if it makes you feel better.

And don't think about the glasses at the high end hotel that have been wiped with the same cloth that they wiped the toilet with either.

No need for a qualification. If you think any commercial aircraft is really cleaned between flights? Wow.

Wow. You always talk in black and white over things you just don't know about. I conceded budget airlines may not. You are dead wrong about the airlines that charge more and take more pride in their service. But you will keep denying that, presumably because of your own experience. Mine tells me something different.

So I ask again, have you flown to New Zealand. Yes or No?

...don't forget the TV remote they just wiped down before the glasses also..

So clean!

I keep telling you guys, you need to upgrade your experiences. But okay if thats what you settle for, that's on you. There are places and businesses that do pride themselves more than that.

I do agree with those that say the technical challenges of fitting an APV might make distribution of them to passengers difficult, but not impossible. Perhaps you don't have experience getting ready for a high end cruise. They send out questionnaires to find out your tastes before you embark.

And we keep telling you that your 'high end' places don't clean any better than anywhere else.

It just doesn't happen. Cleaning staff everywhere are rushed and not paid well. All 'high end' gets you is that things are more likely to look clean, they're no more likely to actually be clean.

"Have fun staying poor" ... or something like that, right?

Nope. Not what I said so please don't put words in my mouth. There are plenty of folks that are not poor but frugal. But it's disingenuous to keep representing the budget experience as the only experience. There has been a lot of ridicule in this forum about people experiencing quality experiences. That's silly.

The topic is an airline has announced they are going to distribute AVP's to their high end customers. Somehow rather than comment on how that might expand one's experience or not, or even how that might work, its become "the airline sucks" and "no airline disinfects." Maybe one of those is true, not both. And does it matter to the topic?

It goes on your FACE. The issue is whether you trust ANY commercial airline to CLEAN the part that touches your FACE. Given the FACT that airlines do NOT really CLEAN their aircraft between flights this is a RELEVANT point.

Your play to bring up some obscure flights to and from New Zealand and suggesting that people aren’t spending enough on their flights is just ridiculous nonsense that none of us are buying.

I honestly don't even buy preowned things at all that are meant for my face or ears

Gross..

Couldn't even imagine putting some "cleaned by airline" thing on my face
Absolutely disgusting, no matter what they claim they did to it
