Prepared for Shipment Finally!!!

dad anyone place an order on 4/18 get a shipment confirmation yet?

I originally placed an order for a 32GB 3G on 3/13, but changed my mind on 4/18 (thank god). So I called apple and they changed my order for me, but my order date was changed to 4/18. However, I did get the "prepared for shipment" change around 9:15pm EST.

As long as your order in order status says ships: late April, you have nothing to worry about- it will ship with the rest of them.

I guess I screwed myself because I originally ordered a 32 gb 3G ipad on 3/12 but called apple and changed it to a 64 gb model the second week of April. Same order number, they just changed it for me.

At any rate, it still says "not yet shipped" and I'm beginning to think I may not get it by friday because of my call....

As long as apple changed it for you (without you cancelling the order yourself), again you should be fine. If this change happened after 4/19, then yeah, nothing will be given to you on Friday. But from what you said, second week of apple is pretty good time to do it.

Take a few minutes off, check again before bed, go to sleep, wake up, check. If you don't have it at this point, call apple. As your original order was 3/12.

Got the Shipment Prep status change late Tuesday night. Ordered 64GB on April 3 and it's comin' to Sweet Home Chicago!!!!!

WTF? Last night it said prepared for shipment. This morning it now says not yet shipped. Steve is playing with my emotions.

Always a day late

I ordered April 20th. No shipping for me yet

Mine says it will ship by May 7th

So sad... I was going to order mine last weekend. Sunday night (18th) I actually got up to get my credit card, and got sidetracked. Ordered Monday afternoon (19th), and right after read all of the news feeds... The most important being the late april cut off!!!

Oh well, my plan is simple. If it ships, cool. If it doesn't, my wife and I area taking a shopping night Friday evening, and I will try to pick on up at the Apple store. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will have them in stock!

I sold my wifi version about a week ago to replace with the 3G, and I am anxious to get one back!

Frustrating!

So mine now shows "prepared for shipment" but the hold on my credit card has expired. How is it going to arrive on Friday?

What's really frustrating is that my wait is going to be much longer ! The iPad is shipping to my mother-in-law and then she has to ship it (hopefully on Saturday!) on to me. There's no way I'll see it before mid next week.

Oh well, if I've waited this long a few more days aren't going to kill me.

Oh... damn damn damn. I just realised I've had a work trip come up on the 4th - I won't be back until the 11th! There's no way way I will see my iPad before then. Ouch.

Order# 8671xxx still says late April. I order minutes after pre order started
I'm on the east coast. I have a feeling this will not change until it's with fedex. My doc & power didn't show shipped until the day they arrived. Not worried my iPhone 3gs arrived on time. Apple is good with shipping on time (just not that great with updating the order status)

Not necessarily, my wifi iPad left Shenzen, China on 04/02 and was delivered here on 04/03.
