If I decide to upgrade from the 13 Pro Max it will be for the 16 Pro.
I‘d like a lighter phone (240g on 13 PM vs 199g on 16 Pro) along with easier one-handed operation.
I would need to go with the Pro since the regular 16 doesn’t have 120htz display.
Isn’t it a AUD$400 difference?$350AUD difference here, anyone can buy one on a contract.
If you compare both in 256gb it’s actually only $150AUDIsn’t it a AUD$400 difference?
The 16 with 256gb is AUD$1599 and the 16 Pro with 256gb is AUD$1999. Every Pro version is AUD$400 more than its base counterpart. Not sure where you are getting your figures? If you compare both in 256gb it’s actually only $150AUD

Promotion the only reason to go pro
So the base 16+ is $899 and the base 16PM is $1199 making it $300. That + my current watch trade in gets me a new watch instead of an extra camera I don’t use, lidar again I don’t use, the “coveted” 120hz display that I truly don’t even notice between my different electronics, and the always on display that I personally find annoying. Plus I get to have a phone with a little personality as something I have with me all the time.
PS. maybe don’t comment on others finances as you never know what’s around the corner for yourself.
Basically the heightThe 16 Pro is bigger than the 15 Pro. It‘s not all about smaller bezels. Apple increased the size.
I'm still using an iPhone XR, as it's been more reliable than any previous iPhone I've owned and has done a good job. It's out of storage now and the battery life has degraded quite a lot, so it's time for an upgrade. But I've noticed that the iPhone 16 Pro with a 6.3" display is actually smaller than the XR with its 6.1" screen, due to the reduced bezels. The 16 Pro is bigger than the 15 Pro. Same. I had a 13 mini then 14 Pro then 15 Pro Max and now getting a normal 16 in Teal.I'm tempted to go from my 15 Pro to a normal 16 this time, if I upgrade at all. I realized I don't use any of the advanced photo/video features, and I value lighter-weight phones (I loved my 13 mini, though not its battery life). I'd miss the always-on display, but maybe not as much as I think. Hmm.
I see this online alot on Twitter. I had the Pro and standard 15 model. Most people don't notice. I used both sorry but to most there is NO differenceOnce you've experienced 120Hz, you can't go back. For those with a 120Hz Pro phone, try enabling power saving to disable it and see how horrendous it is. I suppose if you've never experienced it, then you don't know, so ignorance is bliss!
