It’s incredible how people buy macbook air vs macbook pro due to less weight although worse features but no one is thinking about buying 14 plus instead of 14 pro max. After 24 hours with 14 pro max, the worst part to me is the weight. Simply too much…I have both cases, silicone and leather and being resting in bed trying to hold the phone to watch a movie, ufff it’s slippery!

Really looking forward to hold 14 plus in my hand. Take into account that I’m coming from 11 pro max, so I’m not going to miss promotion.
takes time... :)

This was a great thread for me. I have been considering pro max since I got pro last year, but I switched to a mini in the spring (mainly for fun because I knew I was going to upgrade to the notchless phone). Coming from a mini, I figured I’d just go back with a regular pro, because my kids’ pro phones seem so big now. I got the pro yesterday, but also saw that my Apple store had pro maxes for pickup, so I ordered one to pick up tomorrow - figured I’d give it a try for myself.

After reading this thread though, all my reasons for being hesitant are mentioned here. My hands are small. I want a device I can use in bed and comfortably hold with one hand (tried an iPad mini for that, but it’s bigger than what I want and I can’t get anything to help me hold it the way I want to hold it). I don’t really want extra weight (in fact, I DID consider a 14+ to get size and not weight, but I really missed macro on the camera, and wanted that again).

Bottom line is, though I think I’d enjoy the extra screen size, I don’t think it would be the best choice for me overall.
what did you decide? :)

I tried the 12 Pro but missed the extra screen space and battery life. I'm always tempted because of that "grass greener on the other side" feeling but in the end, I enjoy the battery life of my Pro Max phone, and the screen viewing area.

Now if I had an iPad (which I do not anymore) - I might be more willing to get a smaller phone especially if I use an iPad all day at home. Now, I use my phone for everything.

I came from a 13PM. Been using the 14 Pro for two days now. I’m so used to using two hands for typing on my phone, I realized the two handed use of the PM wasn’t an issue for me. Also battery life is noticeably lower. I have a 14 Pro Max waiting for me at the Apple Store, I’m going back to the big phone!

It’s such a tough choice. I came from the 13 Pro and got the 14 Pro Max and just getting used to its size. But with stubby thumbs, the typing experience is much nicer. Downside is it’s chunky in the pocket especially at the gym. Just gonna get used to it.

Went to the store today 30 minutes before my appointment time and tormented myself, but in the end I left with my pro. The max is stunning, and typing on it was VERY nice, but with my Loopy case, I can still use the pro one handed when I really need to - highly doubt I could pull that off with the max.

Plus at home I use my iPP a lot, so I respond to texts from there or talk to text (which actually IS working much better after the update).
