I've had that issue before, did you try changing DNS server settings?Public beta just released today. Maybe I'll give it a shot.
Edit: Installing public beta now. Man I hate how slow the Apple servers are sometimes. 600mbps fiber connection and only getting like 2 MB/sec on a 12GB download.
You got all that for saying it’s behaving the exact same way as the 60Hz Intel everywhere. 60Hz is only happening in certain areas while other apps work at the full 120Hz.Glad 9to5Mac spoke about it, I was the first one to mention it and I got so much abuse for it
Ahh yeah I forgot to change it since I set this computer up as new instead of using a Time Machine backup. That sped it up a little bit. Still less than 10MB/s but oh well. Finally almost done downloading, ha.I've had that issue before, did you try changing DNS server settings?
Can confirm that this issue is fixed in the 12.1 Developer beta, if anyone has access download and test for yourself!
And holy crap.. I was wrong before because the difference is noticeable.
I just installed the 12.1 beta and it seems like it kind of fixed it... Still seems like the scroll inertia part of it isn't smooth though. It feels similar to what Edge and Chrome feel like on 12.0.1.Has macOS 12.1 beta 1 fixed it?
Well f that’s a disappointment.I just installed the 12.1 beta and it seems like it kind of fixed it... Still seems like the scroll inertia part of it isn't smooth though. It feels similar to what Edge and Chrome feel like on 12.0.1.
Idk. I've spent way too much time looking at scrolling and not enough time enjoying the rest of the laptop. I should just go on in ignorance of issues.
Yeah definitely still not as smooth as the Apple News app.Well f that’s a disappointment.
I can still tell a difference despite this not being in slow motion. Scrolling is Safari feels much more fatiguing to my eyes.
it looks choppy with the recording but compare the choppiness, I'm not seeing a difference.
wait lol I would need to record this on my iPhone at 240fps probably
That’s interesting I might jump on the beta to do some tests, I noticed right away it wasn’t butter smooth compared to other appsI can still tell a difference despite this not being in slow motion. Scrolling is Safari feels much more fatiguing to my eyes.
Same. Not to mention how much smoother Safari is on my iPad Pro. Night and day difference. That’s interesting I might jump on the beta to do some tests, I noticed right away it wasn’t butter smooth compared to other apps
Can you guys post videos comparing the two I think WilliamG or someone did comparing news and safari.
So disappointing that was the most I was looking forward to with the promotion12.1 beta does not fix the issue. Safari is still capped at 60hz according to Blur Busters.
blurbusters shows 60hz on ipad pro / iphone as well for promotion12.1 beta does not fix the issue. Safari is still capped at 60hz according to Blur Busters.
