Thanks Samuel. That was my understanding too. Appreciate the answer. Unless I see green signing I'll hold off attempting.

That is normal because Apple doesn't sign it any more.

Always check status on this page

If you don't see the green box, don't even try to downgrade because that firmware isn't signed at that moment and you can't downgrade your device to specific firmware.

That's true. I read above that there's no risk in losing data for this, is that correct? I don't wanna wind up putting my Air on iOS 11.
no you're not gonna lose your data if you restore with shift+restore and select downloaded ipsw file and you hit restore button if apple doesn't sign the ipsw just disconnect and do a force reset of your phone it'll be back to normal state without wiping your data

Looks like 10.3.3 is still being signed for the 6S? Can anyone confirm?

Just to add another method for checking/confirming that Apple signs specific firmware :)

Try to save shsh2 blobs on the TSS saver site and you can find that non of this older "green" firmwares can't be saved because thay are not signed by Apple at this time.

NO.. If you downgrade and then when you try to get it activated and it then fails because apple dont sign it you have no choice to update to latest os..

I am going to try it on my 6sp solely as was part of the beta program so want rid of the beata
no you can't get past verifying iphone restore if the ipsw isn't signed so meaning you can't get the phone to restore with itunes if you get past "verifying iphone restore" then it means the ipsw is being signed and you'll get your devices restored with no hassle

This didn't work for me. 3194 Not eligible for requested build and it locked my device in Recovery Mode even when trying to reset. A third party software somehow got it out of Recovery mode.

you mean downgrade from 11.2.1 to 10.3.3 ? i just tried from 11.2.2 , got 3194..., if you sure then i will try from 11.2.1, let me know , thanks
I downgraded from 11.2.1 on my 5s to 10.3 not 10.3.3 because 10.3.3 wasn't signed but 10.3 was signed and I couldn't downgrade to ios 10.3 on my iphone 6 because while I was trying to download the ipsw apple closed the signing window

I got a new Apple Watch series 3 it won't work unless I update my iPhone 6s Plus to 11. I'm still on 10.3. I have an original AW on OS 3 but how can I use the new AW without updating my phone?

You can’t, you will need to update to iOS 11 or return the the AW3

Was going to say the same. All we have to do is buy the whole lineup of Apple products each year and we will be fine.

You can't. If it's any consolation at least the 6s Plus can handle 11 better than the 6.

I think this hole debacle came about because I read somewhere that apple had just moved there iCloud server to China

Lol at them re-signing older versions of iOS for the first time in company history.

You’re still going to lose each and every lawsuit, Apple. Resigning after iOS 11 isn’t going to help. LMAO!!! So transparent.

Wonder if the same employee(s) that leaked the HomePod firmware last year had a hand in this episode.

Either that or Apple has a lot of interns working for them recently.

From what I recall, this kind of thing has happened before. Perhaps not to as large of a degree as far as how many versions appeared as signed, but glitches like that have happened before.

I have rolled back to 11.2 but it is smooth buts It's an extremely horrible release due to the battery life

I missed the downgrade window or I would have went back to ios 10.3.3 it was the best

You all don´t get it, right? 11.2.2= Spectre fix or you give a f*** about security.

This is one main reason I use Apple products.

lollllllllll. Per Snowden’s NSA documents release: there is no mobile security. They can hack any phone, any time. It’s a false security...but you do you...

Okay, so no Smartphones or what? When those, who have got the possibilities to hack us, moan about iOS because they are unable "to get in" I would assume Apple is doing a good job. A patched iPhone is definitely better than an unpatched iPhone. Because they have their methods you don´t update your devices?!
I don´t think Snowden only writes letters, with pen and paper.

I hope that no one with unpatched devices uses Apple Pay.
