I would bet if you added it up, there is way less than 1,000 people on here complaining of problems.

The reality is that the happy product users are the silent majority. They are happy with their product, and would rather just use it then to go online and say how great it is. The select few with problems tend to be more vocal.

You really need to ditch this 50% statistic you have in your head. Your friend has led you astray. People feel an online forum is representative of the general population, where in reality it is a select group of people that come online, so the results are skewed.

Your machine is fine. Enjoy it!

yup, and the reality is that most mac users don't even know about forums (this one in particular) because they're not "into" computers. someone genuinely interested in computers liek most of the users on this forum have sharp eyes and are also more likely to notice defects, lol.

but still, i work at a big box electronic store and we sell macbooks all the time, and I always recommend the buyers to check out this forum. we have very, very few returns on macbooks. people dont buy macbook pros - too expensive haha.
