I do wondering if reset iPhone without backup. I also did restore from back up when setting up iOS 18.

RCS, especially on group messaging is very unstable. You can send a message as RCS, then next one will be undeliverable. Or iOS will randomly decide to sent message as SMS. I HAVE FIVE DUPLICATED GROUP because iOS randomly decide to sent messages as SMS for whatever reason!
Long time no see, do you have any feedback from Apple regarding your feedback app reports?
Still more than 10 similar for most of them here …

1) Individual text message are pretty stable under RCS. I haven't had any issue with one to one chat.
2) I have already given up on group RCS messaging. It just created way to much duplicate group. I ended up going back to WeChat/WhatsApp group chats.

Just switched over to 'Mozillion', a MVNO for EE in the UK. Worked out £9 a month cheaper with 40gb more data and uncapped speeds.

As expected though, no RCS messaging enabled on their network.

Yeah; it gets quite complicated when participating in a multi-OS stream . . . for the most part, things work as we have come to expect; it's the infrequent Outliers that drive us mad.

I don't know if anyone have this problem but if I'm texting continuously with the same contact ( like, we just reply on each other immediately) eventually my messages will send as SMS but the other person will still send their messages as RCS. It happen every time now. And after a day, I can send a message as RCS again until I tchat like I've described above.

Seems to be related to this issue https://www.androidauthority.com/android-iphone-rcs-messaging-issue-3517481/

TLDR iOS tries to check for iMessage, since your contact doesn‘t have that, it falls back straight to SMS instead of checking for RCS (and stays there).

Yes, this has been happening since it was first activated. Before, they justified it because it was an iOS beta, but time has shown that Apple doesn't care at all about this feature, because more than 6 months later it still works just as badly. I recommend that my acquaintances and friends deactivate RCS and not even try to use it, because they will get a surprise on their bill for SMS charged because RCS has been disconnected for no reason.

RCS toggle appeared for me today on 18.4 Beta 2. Tello Mobile. Seems to be stuck in 'waiting for activation' at the moment.
