Coverage is pretty good for germany. Only major holdout is 1&1 and debitel https://foxt.dev/ios-rcs/I assume in Germany any of the hundreds(?) of providers that use the O2 (Telefónica) network should work, if even my 14 years old free Internet Netzclub card does. It was taken over by FONIC recently, I added that one to the list.
The switch was there and worked to turn on from the beginning with the first beta that introduced RCS.
I recently received my first RCS with a confirmation code from Klarna (payment service). Maybe there were others before and I didn't notice it. It even came with some more information and a profile image.
My SE3 screen is a little too small to show everything. "Report Junk" and "Block Sender" is at the bottom. In SMS confirmation codes from other websites, I don't even see a number and there is only the "Hide Alerts" slider in the info screen.

Note: the list does only include carriers with their own carrier profile
You‘ll be sad to hear that 1&1 does not have support for RCS, regardless of which network your eSim ends up using (O2, Vodafone or their own one).I just ordered my new iPhone and plan from 1&1. Strangely there was nothing on their website to see what network they use. I had to call them and asked, it's Vodafone and I even got too extra discounts for the already discounted plan.
O2 is nearly unusable at and very near to my home, but my old card doesn't support 5G, maybe that's the problem.
I hope the Pro Max is not too different to my SE3. 🙃

1&1 has their own carrier profile for each network with no support for RCS.
Seems unlikely if Google doesn't have it yet. Maybe in 2026.So not a single mention or trace of anything RCS related with iOS 26 (in keynote, on their marketing or newsroom pages).
Hope the developer change logs for B1 have something or that we can get quick confirmation of any updates for RCS by early adopters.
Starting to think that e.g. UP3.0 is not included yet, seeing as even Google has yet to give any updates about 3.0 in Google Messages… seeing as the highlight is MLS cross-platform encryption, I could see why Apple holds back until the other party is ready. Hopefully not, since RCS on iOS is no pleasant experience and UP3.0 provides way more than MLS.
If you got any news or tidbits, please drop them in this thread.
I feel this is what’s going to happen. Still holding onto that little glimmer of hope that 3.0 is in there somewhere.Seems unlikely if Google doesn't have it yet. Maybe in 2026.
