Yep, that's the only reason why I had Exchange back then. Always was a pain. I rather use something else to check my emails than my personal phone. Just tell them to use Gmail instead. /jp

If only it were that simple in Corporate America. I have a work issued phone because the company decided to put an MDM on phones. I didn't want that on my personal phone, so I opted for a company phone. I'm also stuck with Exchange as that's our corporate standard. No getting around that one. It is however working perfectly on 12.4.1 so that's where the company phone is staying for the time being.

On my personal phone, I still haven't upgraded, though I think I'm getting closer to doing so. I have my father's old 6S and he upgraded that to iOS 13 before he passed away. Mail was wonky on but it seems to be a bit better with 13.3. Still, I'm always afraid of what the next version is going to break. Seems like 13 has been that way since the release and as you know, once you update, there is no going back.

Still haven't updated my iPhone. I usually do staggered updates with one iPad getting it first and the phone getting it last.

I normally hotspot from iPad to Windows laptop and other non-Apple devices but on iOS 13, hotspot has been disconnecting every few minutes. I've had to use hotspot on my iOS 12 phone for now and won't be updating until that's fixed. I've already submitted a bug report but from my Google search, I gather there are plenty others with the same issue.

Thanks for that. I don't do it on a daily basis but I do use hotspot when I travel. Seems crazy there are so many issues with fundamental aspects of iOS that people are having problems with. Very disappointing.

My mini 5 is on 13.3. I don’t use email on it so can’t comment on that issue. Seems to be fine for my uses, which is mostly for surfing and drawing.

Using the software or services of an ad company do run my business emails through? Something at the back of my head keeps telling me that’s no the most clever of ideas I had so far.

My grandma loves her iPad mini 5.
I can see why Apple is going larger with the iPads, though. Multitasking on a smaller screen isn't so fun.
It's good that Apple is keeping around the 7.9" for awhile, its quite good for reading.

/jp = just playing.

I’m very satisfied with the mini 5. To be honest I thought Apple was going to remove the mini from its lineup. I chose the gray mini with black bezels and in dark mode I barely notice them. One thing that gets me every time, when I press ‘next’ to change pages it happens so quickly that I don’t notice it. I find very often that I start to press ‘next’ again before I realize the page actually changed, especially in this forum where all the pages basically look the same. It’s very fast.

I just ordered mine after selling off my older iPad mini. Hopefully they do not refresh it in 2 months time. Haha.
