More than that I really like her as a person. Such a sunny disposition. Absolutely no side to her. And yet so artistic and disciplined and smart.

Oh well, it managed to satisfy at least five other punters. You can't win them all.
I'm just trying to figure out what the point of the video is? Or if I missed an issue. Is it that the new Mini is much faster when web browsing? If so, I'm down for that. I use my tablets to do a lot of web browsing, so increased speed is a plus.

Confirmed it is faster, I tested the demo set at Apple store. It is at least 2 to 3 times faster when loading webpages.

Yup, spot on. Lisa is awesome.

And she’s correct about drawing on the Mini, it’s a delight!

Here's another excellent review somewhat at variance with that opinion. It brings home to me that often there's no one right judgement. That invariably such determinations are merely and quite literally just points of view coming at things from differing perspectives:

Good point: it depends on the person. Some might think my using split screen between Procreate and photos on a Mini is crazy, but it’s working just fine for me.

I have Procreate and haven’t used it much on any of my iPPs. However, I can see myself doodling on a Mini 5. I have all sorts of art supplies and prefer the smaller sketchbook sizes because drawings don’t take long. However, I just don’t get any of my stuff out. I think I’ll piddle with the Mini 5 because of the small form factor. Obviously, it will be very casual use, but I think I’ll find the small size much less intimidating.

I’d like to see what you can do. :)

I bought a Mini 5 late last week, as I traded in a Mini 4 (along with an older Mini 2). After several days of use, I can say that the performance increase compared to the "4" just blows me away. I never thought the Mini 4 was that slow, but now that I have the 5, there is absolutely no comparison. I have upgraded iPhones twice and older iPad Mini's twice previously, and I can say that going from the Mini 4 to the Mini 5 was the most dramatic improvement I have ever experienced upgrading from one Apple device to the next. This is one GREAT upgrade. BTW, I also bought a Logitech Crayon for use as a pointer and to annotate PDF's and write notes. Performance of the Crayon is seemless and highly recommended, as an accessory for the Mini 5. As an Engineer, I have no artistic talent or interest, so the Pencil would had been a waste of money for me.

this is what I liked about the mini 3. I have had a lot of gear but I find it nicest gear for relaxing and shooting the bull on the net

Exactly. I don't understand how people can even stand the mini 2/3 at this point. They're slow as molasses and have to constantly reload pages. I bought the Mini 4 last year but promptly returned it when my old hoary iPad Air 2 was even a bit faster than it. The Mini 5 actually got the latest APU so should be future proofed for some time. The last 2 previous generations of mini were shortchanged in the CPU/GPU department....

There's one sitting on my bookcase at home. I haven't used it since I got my 5 other than to compare speed. I plan to use it for SatNav but right now I'm thinking of just buying another Mini 5 for SatNav and giving the WiFi Mini 5 to my wife. I'm sure that my kids would love to have it too. My Nexus 7 is far slower than the Mini 2. it takes 5-10 minutes to boot. And then minutes to load any App.

I just checked the Apple Website and they're shipping April 17-19 now. I will likely place an order tomorrow morning.

Not in the UK, they're not! I ordered one today and it's coming tomorrow.

I ordered a new Mini 5 a couple of weeks ago which arrived yesterday. I loved the size and the screen. The sound wasn't as bad as I feared. But I didn't like the colour — I went for the gold with white bezels. The gold looks like rose gold half the time (this has always been true of Apple's gold coloured products — my MacBook Air is the same, but I deal with it).

To my surprise it was the white bezels which were the deal breaker for me. When you watch a TV show or movie, you get black bars top and bottom and then you have white bars (the bezels) left and right. It's distracting to me.

So I've ordered the space grey with black bezels, which I hope will be better. The size of the bezels doesn't really annoy me, though the asymmetric home button does a little — though I think I only noticed it because posters on here made such a big deal about it.

I don't think the position of the home button is a big deal. It hasn't bothered me at all.

The problem with reading user comments and reviews all the time, is that it can (at times) end up causing you to see a problem where there really isn't one. The good thing is you already acknowledged the possibly to guard against.

From your comments, the space gray will be what you are looking for.

To my shame I can be particularly susceptible to this. Someone will say something online and it will make me see something in a totally different way. I've had iPad Minis in the past and never noticed the positioning of the home button was off-centre.

don't mind, can someone enlighten me what was the issue with the home button?

I been looking through past post and I don't see any home button discussion?
