Apple isn't going to call a random member on a rumor sight and ask to install a logging device. Never.

You've been hacked and are "victim" to a scam attempt. Good scammers always sound legit.

Still curious as to what was ‘installed’.

We never got to this point when I realised that somebody called me though I never filed an issue. Then I asked him several questions and he said „the call was a decision by the leaderboard“ (what ever that means) and they got my number by apple id

Your soundcloud links to your facebook which shows your real name. If your number is listed in the phone directory, it would be extremely easy to find you. It took 1 minute to gather this information.

There is a very slim chance that this is not a scam. Delete the profile from your phone right away and get in touch with Apple to report this. Also consider wiping your phone and starting from scratch.

Why would you install something on your phone? It has all your personal info on it....... smh

I agree with your skepticism and share it. But sometimes, when money is involved, companies break thier own rules.

There has never been any such event reported before where Apple randomly called a customer because he posted something on an Internet forum. This most definitely is a scam. I just can’t believe how people fall for things like this in 2018.

ok, does this mean you didn't actually install anything yet? If so, good.

This scenario is super sketchy. The fact that the caller struck you as "non-Indian" doesn't really mean anything. I'd remain highly skeptical unless/until a call to Apple reveals an actual case#.

I will share something. I have been put in touch with Apple via this site. I was having issues with hardware and was not treated very nice by an Apple Manager. An Apple employee saw my post and reached out to me privately. They offered to help. They requested my phone number and offered to have Customer Relations call me directly. This kicked off a long process of resolving my issue (but not THE issue).

It sounds like a scam.. but it is not out of bounds of being legit. That is why my immediate concern would be what was installed. I agree that a call to AS and requesting any open cases related to my Apple ID should be done ASAP. I would also try to confirm if Apple made the call.

I will do I got a casenumber of him he did not want to give me his full name ...
My experience with Apple Support at the executive level is that there is no issue getting the full name and there should be an immediate email from that CSR with full contact information, including a direct office number that is not a 800 number. Be careful.

I hate to be the one to bust it to you, but it sounds like one of two things is going on here:

1) You are lying.

2) You got scammed.

Agree. I still have name of the lady from Customer Relations and the guy from Executive Liason.

First and Last name.. as well as contact number.

I'm not sure I understand. How did they get your phone number? Is your email publicly available from this site?

For the record, when a case is referred to an Apple Engineer, they do ask you to install a logging app on your phone so they can see everything that happens related to your issue.
