A bunch of times over the summer I got a call from the official apple number. I got a recording saying my account was compromised, and to please call a very non-apple number.
I don't know what happened here, but scammers CAN and DO spoof the official apple support number. If you call it back, it goes right to Apple. But it is not from Apple. At all.

And i asked him if I would get something for the fact that my phone gets logged. He said no. They don’t offer that. Would a scammer say no to this question?

You are also avoiding the question of what did you install, where did you install it from? Was it a profile? Someone else said it on here already either you got scammed or you are lying.
I'm not sure that qualifies as proof...but I believe you. This would be a really weird story to fabricate.

I asked him and he said from my Apple ID and then it got messy because I said I never complained officially about this issue
Bingo, this will answer all. It is was from an apple url then it may be legit. If you dont know what you installed you got scammed and likely hacked now.

The issue is what was installed and from where. That will hint at the legitimacy
There's a simple question that's been asked - and not answered - several times. How did you / by what mechanism (i.e., a link in a Message, an attachment in an email) were you sent the diagnostic app.
I did not get that beacause I said I will not do this because it is already a data protection breach that they called me!!
