They go through all that fuss to show off "AAA" gaming on the new M3s and then a week later...."Oh yeah, you can play it on your phone too."

I mean that doesn't mean the M3 is a slug, it's NOT. Just means the game isn't really THAT taxing. I find this... amusing.

no one's saying the M3 is a slug...? it's being praised for its speed.

the game can be quite taxing at its high fidelity, at 1440p & higher resolutions. the nice thing about games with settings is that they can be.....*set* to run differently so as to not overwhelm whatever it is they're running on......

There is like no RT on the iPhone version of Village just SRS so I doubt we are going to see that on RE4 either. I think they keep touting it because most people don’t actually know what’s it looks like truly. That or it is in there, but anytime you toggle it up that high it crashes the iPhone which is INSANE to me, because that means Apple knew it would do that and let it through. Still I likely will get RE4 and play on Mac if it has a deal like it did on the iOS App Store with REVillage.

"What's a console?"

SMDH...

So, in theory, could the setup be using an XBox/PS console controller via bluetooth onto iPhone and then phone screen sharing to an Apple TV box so that you actual can get a 'console like' experience through your phone?

And, what's the chance of the next generation Apple TV box having the A17 Pro chip in it natively to actually make it more of a competitor to the consoles?

RE: Village has been crash site for me, hopefully they do a better job porting this and testing.

Also, a promo price during launch would help. Not planning on buying a $60 game when it’s lower on competing platforms.

Any date on Death Stranding Director’s Cut?
Current release date of Dec 2, going by the Mac App Store. In addition, Kojima recently mentioned the Mac version in a tweet, albeit in passing.

One question and one comment:

Q: Will it be available on Steam with all desktop platforms included for the same price? It makes absolutely no sense to buy desktop games from the app store and only get the Mac OS version.

Comment: At some point they introduced IAPs in the RE remakes. How predatory will this one be just because it's on the same platform as Zynga and Blizzard titles?

Yes, but the 15 Pro/max can only run these games at 720p resolution with low settings.

it’s the iPads and M-series Mac where it does really shine.

Can the iPad Pro M1/16GB run this game at native resolution with stable FPS?

can the M1 Max MBPs run this game at native resolution with Stable FPS

Will the M3 Max beast this game will settings full specked w/RT and hit 60fps?

only time will tell

I would think RE4 would play similarly to RE village on M1 iPad Pro as according to Twitterer SJV, RE Village on his 16GB M2 iPad Pro played at max settings with everything on uses at Max 11 GBs at a resolution of 2732x2048(Much higher graphical output than the 5.8GB allowed for village on iPhone 15) The M1 should get similar performance if you have the 16GB version as it seems Village was really made for the 16GB iPads and not the iPhone 15 pro in terms of maxing out the graphics with a smooth frame rate. RE4R should play similarly on any 16GB iPad.

The Title for this website is “Resident Evil Village somehow runs perfectly on M2 iPad Pro” and Dexerto is the website publisher

I got the iPhone 15 pro GB for RE village from a YouTuber called Datura Plays on his video called I played Resident Evil Village on IPhone 15 Pro Max. He shows it at the start of his video

I still don't know what ray-tracing is.

Is it of any use for people who aren't gamers?
Yes.

In short, ray tracing simulates light and shadow. Think of how a tree blowing in the wind has it's shadow changing, as the light hits the leaves differently.

But in return, it's quite heavy on a GPU. Movies and pictures have been able to use ray tracing for a while, since they're not doing it on the fly, they're just showing the end result, but with the tree example above, a GPU has to render that at 30 or 60 fps (ideally).
