Strange, because iOS 16.2 Public Beta 3 is very smooth for me too, There is no lag or stutter at all for two days. i14 Pro 256GB. Actually it is far the smoothest version since I bought the phone.

It was the same for me on Beta1. Stutter took 4 days to reappear. I am definitely not optimistic. I can bet everyone will see it again.

After 4 days, mine slowly started to reappear too on my 14 PM. Not as bad as on 16.1.1, but it's still there. Bummer. I was really optimistic this time.

The problem comes from a poor RAM management I think , my apps constantly reload when I have a couple open in the background…I really regret my 14 pro max , 1600€ for this buggy phone , stupid me 😕
It’s unfortunate you’ve had this experience, mine’s been almost the exact opposite with my 14 Pro Max. The one intermittent issue I have is that the phone doesn’t always respond to taps to wake the phone. It will occasionally require several taps or just have a delayed response. But other than that no stuttering, no lags. In fact other than when waking most functions occur at stunning speeds. No regrets here.

Is there any type of consensus on which model this issue appears on? Is it exclusively with the 14 models? To be this far into the release of iOS16 and have this type of issue is completely unacceptable.

Are you running the latest beta?

I don't think its model based, it sounds like setting/combination based. I've never had it but my friend, who replaced his phone twice (for unrelated reasons) had this stutter with all his iPhone 14 pros. Its a setting thats causing it in my opinion.

All the IPhone 14 Pro/PM models are susceptible to the stutter. It may he triggered randomly or by a combination of apps/settings/ICloud.

You’re not stupid. Apple is stupid. They shouldn’t release any defective hardware or software product.

About 24 hours into installing the latest beta on my 14 Pro, and so far so good. I came from 16.1.1, which stuttered a lot after a day or so.

No it’s an iOS 16 issue. Perhaps also 120hz displays.

It first appeared on my 13PM in the 16 beta.

The first two 16.2 betas were a dream for me - not a single instance of the dreaded stutter. But it’s back with beta 3, though thankfully only rarely. I’ve noticed it 3 maybe 4 times, and it seems shorter/quicker than it was previously. The prior 16.1 betas had my 14PM almost unusable it was stuttering so bad.

Hi guys, just a workaround - Reduce transparency & switch it off, I noticed that it decreases the frequency of this stutter but not clearing it completely, it still happens but not as frequently as keeping it on!

guys check this video, he said the Stutter fixed at 6:11

It’s not fixed though. It’s amazing to me that people like in the video keep posting this stuff. It takes days for it to show back up, but it does.

PSA: its not fixed in beta 3
