Has anyone managed to get rid of this issue by doing a factory reset? I have been considering doing it seeing that there are people who report not having the issue on iOS 16.2, but on previous versions I've seen people reporting how a factory reset didn't solve anything, so I'd rather not go through it if it won't do anything.

After the update to iOS 16.2 the stutter was already present, so I made a factory reset and had no stutter for 5 days, but since today it´s back (iPhone 14 Pro).

For me it came back in 2 days, really disappointing from apple

Thank you for mentioning it, then it won't be worth it for me to also do a factory reset. It probably is an issue that's still present. Here's hoping that they will fix it in or before 16.3

Would you say the stutter is exactly the same as before? For me I still get it occasionally but it’s 80% better than before. Not perfect but seems like a big improvement

Based on the past 3 months of owning the 14 Pro Max, iOS16.2 is definitely the best performance update so far. No stuttering issues on it for a week; for previous iOS updates, the issue would have re-surfaced by 1 to 2 days after updating iOS. So I’m hopeful that some form of fix has been deployed in 16.2 and I’ve also switched off all automatic software update to ensure that the phone will stay on 16.2

it is absurd they can’t get the basics right But expecting a timely fix for something simple is a fools errand with apple imo

Craig is working hard on swipe up animations.

I must say my experience is quite different from the majority as it was with the older iOS 16 versions. From my 14PM 6.1.2 was better than 16.2, didn’t have stutters, battery lastest longer.
16.2 feels kinda glitchy on my phone with occasional animation stutters and bugs, also battery is not as good.
I also didn’t really notice the infamous swipe up stutter, it was there from time to time, but not bothering, with 16.2 I tend to notice it more.
