Yes 16.2 is no good. 16.2.1 please and thank you!
Unfortunately we probably won’t get it until they also iron out whatever is wrong with the new HomeKit architecture, and I’m sure everyone is out of office at Cupertino until after new years.

That said, the stuttering seems to be extremely uncommon on 16.2 though. Still loads better than the previous iOS versions.
I don’t expect absolutely perfect, constantly flawless performance on my phone, but the stutter pre-16.2 was unacceptable. A minor hiccup here and there I can live with. That said, I haven’t really even had those on 16.2 so far and it’s been a few weeks now.

Yup, stutters are back for me as well. This phone sucks. Honestly I bought a pixel 7 and it feels like a much newer phone.

I purchased my 14 Pro on launch day, and was able to get a full return / refund approved. Call support and ask to speak to a manager, and if they decline to issue a return, ask to speak to their manager. Going to send back my phone for a full refund.

Apples stuff is so glitchy now a days. Even macOS is glitchy as hell.

Recently I thought, that MacOS glitchy only because I have old MacBook Air 2018. What Mac you have?
I personally have a Mac Pro 5,1 with Mojave on it and it’s fine but at work I use an M1 Max Mini with Monterey and it’s super glitchy.

A question for those who are on 16.2. If it fixed your lag when closing apps issue any thoughts on what you’ll do when the next OS update arrives?

I hate to move off this version since it’s worked so well for me with that annoying issue, but realize eventually I’ll have to. Your thoughts?

I’ve thought about this and honestly I may hold off which is not typical for me. I’ll wait to see what others say for a week or so before updating.

Same here. I’ve been following this thread since the start. Had this issue hourly up until 16.2. Now completely gone since release day of 16.2. Afraid to update in the future.

You update first and let me know? 🙄

I am using iPhone 13 pro max which is on ios 16.2 and I am experiencing this widespread issue where when you swipe up to home screen from any app, there is small lag or stutter in animation. Apple seems to be least bothered by this and there is no fix out for this, it has been more than 2 months.

We may need to change the title of this discussion. I was helping my wife do something on her iPhone 14 (not Pro) and I noticed the stutter is now happening on hers as well. She's running 16.2. So it seems to be affecting all models now.

Still no stutters on 14 Pro Max - 16.2. Battery life has been nothing short of phenomenal. My wife’s 12 doesn’t have any stutter either, she’s on it all day. I would definitely hear about it if she were seeing an issue.
