I was wondering, does anyone know if there is anyway to get rid of the darker color gradient at the bottom of pictures when they are set as wallpapers without jail-breaking your iPad? I assume there probably isn't, but I was curious. I really love the Bama wallpaper I got from this thread but it looks kinda odd with the crimson being two different tones.

Perhaps Safari is actually resizing them...

Are just the ones on this site being resized or are all of them?

I suppose you could always result to downloading it on a computer and emailing it to yourself.

I'm having some issues with the images too. These downloaded wallpapers end up zoomed in by ~20 times and, obviously, then look blurry. This happens only sometimes though... Seems like an issue that will need to be fixed in an OS update.

From Dropbox regarding your links:

"This account's public links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled! "

Just an update for you and anyone else who wanted to download one of my wallpapers. I've moved the files from Dropbox to SkyDrive, so you should be good to download them (thank you, Microsoft, for 25gb of free storage).

None of these wallpapers display properly

The ones you downloaded directly from this site, or from other sites as well, like mine? If the second, perhaps Safari is resizing them?

edit: according to a friend of mine with an iPad3, who did a test by downloading from my site and comparing with files I emailed him, they look identical and very very clear.

They download fine and show up in photos fine. They even work most of the time as wallpapers but there are times where I press the home button and the wallpaper is all of a sudden zoomed in a lot. Strange.

Ok, that is weird. Definitely sounds like an iOS issue then.

hi, I am looking for some abstract retinas; just like the ones apple covers the buildings before product announcements; something colourful, but please, no apple logo on it

Now that I look at it, mine is also zooming in when trying some of the retina resolution wallpapers. It works for some of them, but then for others it zooms in a ton once you actually go back and look at the wallpaper on your home screen.

Did you make sure all of them are 2048x2048? I think that was my problem, some of the ones I was trying were 2048x1536...this caused the blurriness problem.

Ok these wallpapers are mainly for landscape mode. Are there wallpapers for portrait mode which is what I use mainly

Ummmm, most of these are 2048x2048, which are intended for either orientation. Some of them have the images positioned incorrectly, but for the most part they will work in either orientation.

By sizing at 2048x2048, the Wallpapers will work with both Landscape and Portrait orientations.

I suppose if you wanted one that was just going to look good on Portrait you could crop any image on this thread to 2048x1536.

-edit - looks like zboater beat me by a minute...

Just designed these today. I had made a similar wallpaper a while back for the iPad2. There are three different versions.

Could you make one without any orbs in it? been trying to find a more subdued background to use for home screen. I saw this one and while the extra space on the bottom works nice for the bottom row of apps I don't like the seam in the middle. Actually just that one without the seam in middle would be good too.
