You know for me if I wanted to read text I wouldn’t buy friking iPad but an A4 eink reader - cheaper, lighter, batterier and better for your eyes. So it’s strange to see ppl buying 2000$ device for reading, like lol?

It’s a workstation not a toy generally. I imagine galaxy tab is way better at toy consumption purposes due to aspect ratio if nothing else but also more open OS.

Maybe they use it for more than just reading text. I have a Kindle Scribe & Oasis but often read in the Kindle app on my 13" Pro. And those Kindles aren't all that great with color illustrations.

The blacks on this Mini-LED M1 are already much better than on my previous 2017 iPP. I accept that for halve the money…

Blacks are fine on my M1 11” Pro too. I Don’t understand all the hype buying the latest and greatest for a marginally better screen. And that’s being generous when I say marginally better. Unlike others, I don’t spend hours everyday analyzing how deep my blacks are.

But the new Pro 11 is 11% lighter in weight! Now I Must run out to buy it. It’s a game changer!

M4. Landscape camera. Better keybaord option. Space black option. 13" significantly lighter. OLED. 1000 nit base brightness. Nano option.

No one option may make you run out and buy it, but the totality of the upgrades makes it worth it for some, based on what you value.

Is it? 466 vs 444 grams for the cellular, unless I’m missing something that’s definitely not 10%

Totally disagree. Night and day difference between my 5 gen iPad Pro 12.9 and my 2024 iPad Pro 13. Screen is so much brighter and better colors/deeper, it is so light and thin now, finally face id where it belongs, etc…. Magic Keyboard really improved.

My gen 5 looks like a dinosaur now. No way could go back. Apple did a fantastic job.
Not to mention fast! I went from my M2 12.9 to the M4 13” 2 Tb and I couldn’t be happier. A screamer! I use it for my photography workflow and it functions absolutely perfectly for my needs.
